Fortunately, Dawn and Brock had persuaded Mamoswine and Abomasnow to join the effort to protect Snowpoint Forest.
Huge numbers of Mamoswine gathered in groups to block Regigigas's path.
But while the vast herd could form a wall across the way forward, they couldn't stop his arms!

Regigigas's arms glowed white, but his Hammer Arm never came down.
An Arcanine charged down from each hillside, one on the left and one on the right, interrupting Regigigas's Hammer Arm with Flare Blitz!
"Great job!"
The Arcanine had successfully protected the Mamoswine who had come to help from Regigigas.
But they couldn't keep this up.
Cynthia and Lance were still on their way.
And as Regigigas continued to awaken, he had grown even larger than before...

As he directed Lucario and the others, Li Wei kept turning things over in his head. He had roughly three options.
The first was to create an opening for Lucian, trusting his Gallade and Bronzong to put Regigigas to sleep with Hypnosis.
Li Wei placed that option last.
After all, Bronzong was still recovering.
The second was to call in Black Rayquaza. At this point, Black Rayquaza seemed to be the only one capable of stopping Regigigas.
The last was for Li Wei to use the Ancient Language...
To negotiate with Regigigas.
Li Wei decided to try the third plan first.
