He wanted to establish a Pokémon League of Alola's own in the Alola Region.
It was a truly great dream.
When Professor Kukui spoke of it, Li Wei could see the light in his eyes.
It was the excitement of a dream gradually taking shape.
Li Wei nodded. "It's an ambitious plan. Alola has so many unique and powerful Pokémon,
"and plenty of Trainers who love Pokémon. I think it's feasible-no, I'm sure it'll succeed."
Professor Kukui stared at Li Wei through his glasses in surprise. He hadn't expected Li Wei to be so supportive.
He was genuinely flattered.
Of course, establishing a league took more than words.
It needed support from all sides. Professor Kukui couldn't build it single-handedly.
For instance, establishing Gyms and building a venue for the finals like Lily of the Valley Stadium were all issues they would have to tackle.
Professor Kukui continued, "I've discussed it with the Island Kahunas,
"and President Lusamine of the Aether Foundation has been actively working with us to move it forward, but..."
Professor Kukui paused, looking a little troubled.
"Establishing an entirely new league system is no easy task.
"We lack experience. How should we choose a site and build the league headquarters? How should we design Gym challenges that are both challenging and distinctly Alolan?
"How should we structure the league tournament?
"How can we attract Trainers from other regions to compete and raise our profile?
"There are so many difficulties. These are all problems we're facing."
Li Wei nodded slightly. Those were indeed difficult questions, but had Professor Kukui come to the wrong person?
If he wanted to know how to establish a league,
