Ash and Shinji's battle was steadily heating up.
The commentator exclaimed, "Oh no! Drapion has Buizel's tail caught in its huge pincer too!"
Its tail pincer gripped Buizel's neck, and its left pincer gripped Buizel's tail,
leaving Drapion with its right pincer still free.
But Buizel never gave up!
Thanks to the flotation sac around its neck, which resembled a swim ring, Buizel had managed to stay in the fight.

Water rapidly enveloped Buizel's entire body. It dodged Drapion's two pincers as they snapped at it again and successfully put some distance between them!
Watching in front of the television, Blue nodded slightly. "It rushed in a little too recklessly, but that was a decent response."
Cynthia agreed. "Ash really understands Buizel's traits. That's how it managed to escape."
This Buizel's defining trait was its refusal to give up, and it also needed to make good use of the flotation sac around its neck.
Ash and Dawn had put an enormous amount of effort into catching this Buizel.
The corners of Li Wei's mouth lifted. "That escape was very much Ash's style."
Zeraora, Lucario, and the others all nodded.
Watching the endlessly unpredictable Ash battle always offered something unusual to learn.
Of course, with Lucario and Zeraora's speed, there was no way Drapion could catch them in its pincers.
