[This is a sweet boys' love story, an incredibly sweet, doting romance! No angst! Read without fear, sweethearts! Once again, I guarantee there will be absolutely no angst! I'm not responsible if all that sweetness rots your teeth.]

[Content notes: both the top and bottom are strong, but the bottom has a soft, sweet personality (softest of all with his man). The bottom looks innocent but has a dark side, despite seeming completely harmless.]

[The top pulls all kinds of outrageous stunts, has no self-control around his little bunny, and often teases him to tears.]

[There are quite a few original worldbuilding details.]

Mwah~

"Boss! I caught a rabbit!"

"Shall we kill it? Have roast rabbit!"

The short-haired girl in a camouflage skirt lifted the net and gave it an excited shake.

Inside the net was a white lop-eared rabbit the size of an adult's palm.

Dizzy from all her shaking, the little bunny clung desperately to the net with his paws.

His ears stood straight up in fright, and his little nose twitched.

"Not enough to go around if we roast it. Make soup." A teasing male voice rang out.

Ye Ruan, the lop-eared rabbit, widened his eyes. His three-lobed mouth twitched in panic as he shook like a leaf.

Strangers.

Strangers who ate rabbits, at that!

He was a bunny, but he was also human!

"This little bunny is so cute. How about keeping it for a couple of days? It's so fluffy, but it's really light."

The girl poked the bunny with a finger.

"Captain, is this rabbit male or female?"

The man who had spoken earlier bent down to get out of the vehicle. When his gaze landed on the lop-eared rabbit in the net, he paused briefly.

"Just part its fur and take a look. Comrade Yu Jingjing, wipe that drool off your face."

Yu Jingjing chuckled and tossed the rabbit to him.

Ye Ruan's world spun, and he trembled in terror.

A large, warm hand reached in to cradle the lop-eared rabbit and lift him out of the net.

The man held the rabbit, who was smaller than his palm, and lifted one of Bunny's ears between his fingers, giving it a gentle squeeze.

The little bunny's belly was warm, his racing heartbeat tapping against the man's palm like a tiny drum.

He could feel the little bunny trembling, his tiny nose twitching nonstop.

"What's with that look?"

Puzzled, Yu Jingjing leaned over to look at him. "Anyone who didn't know better would think you were looking at your sweetheart. Do you know him, Captain?"

A head poked out of the passenger-side window, its owner's eyes lighting up at the sight of the rabbit in the man's palm.

"Rabbit! Meat!"

The team member's eyes gleamed. He swallowed his drool and reached out a wicked little hand.

The man moved the rabbit out of his reach and scolded him with a laugh.

"Tsk, were you a starving ghost in your past life? What if he's a Special Person?"

Yu Jingjing looked puzzled. "A rabbit Special Person? Do we have rabbits in our special forces?"

"Of course we do! Isn't the captain of Squad Three one?"

The team member in the passenger seat rubbed the back of his head.

"I heard he's good-looking, too. That flashy fox from Squad Two has been chasing him."

"Why the hell are you such a gossip?"

"Hehe, it's hard to find someone to date these days. I'm gathering intel in advance so I can prepare."

The man snorted and casually tossed the rabbit onto the seat through the wide-open door.

He took a cigarette from his pocket, lit it, and smoked at a leisurely pace.

"Where are Fang and the others?"

Yu Jingjing pulled out a palm-sized tablet, tapped it twice, and studied it for a moment.

"They'll be here soon. About twenty kilometers away."

Gu Cheng gave a derisive snort. "They take forever to get anything done. Isn't a husky supposed to be unstoppable once you let it out of its cage?"

"Hahaha, dogs and wolves are different, after all!"

A wolf?!

Ye Ruan froze where he huddled on the seat, trembling.

When he had first entered City H, his superiors had told him another squad of Special Persons had also come in on a mission.

But he had never run into them.

A squad with both a wolf and a dog...

That sounded like Squad One.

Gu Cheng, the captain of Squad One, was the strongest fighter among the Special Persons.

He was also the sort of creature whose very name struck terror into rabbits.

A wolf!

Two months earlier, a virus had broken out in City H. The once-bustling city had fallen in an instant, but fortunately, the military had handled the situation well and confined all infected individuals within City H.

Ye Ruan had only been urgently recalled from overseas after the outbreak. Before this, he had never met anyone from the other squads.

The lop-eared rabbit looked at the tall man standing outside the vehicle.

He had deep-set eyes, strong features, and a high, straight nose. An irreverent smile always seemed to linger at the corners of his mouth.

Ye Ruan nudged his drooping ear with a hind paw and scratched his head.

He decided to talk things over properly with the man.

They were all on the same side. Eating a bunny would really hurt their friendship.

The next second, the team member in the passenger seat happened to glance at the rearview mirror.

A pair of red eyes stared back at him through the mirror!

Li Rang gave a violent shudder and let out a yelp.

"Z-z-z-zombie!"

"Zombie?!"

Yu Jingjing shouted, drew the gun tucked behind her waist, and chambered a round.

"Where?!"

The man reached out to stop her gun barrel. "Not a zombie."

He turned and met the eyes of the young man sitting in the second row.

He had silvery-white hair and a pair of pink bunny ears that drooped meekly. His exposed hands were slender and fair.

Most captivating of all were his beautiful, innocent, doe-like eyes.

They looked like rubies that had been painstakingly polished and sculpted.

Clear and pure, they caught the light as though a river of stars lay hidden within them.

One could almost lose oneself in that river of stars.

Under the man's gaze, Ye Ruan helplessly reached up to touch his ears, unsure how to begin.

The man noticed his fear.

The faint menace surrounding him faded. His eyes curved slightly, the corners of his mouth lifting into a roguish smile.

He leaned forward a little.

"Hello, little bunny. I'm Gu Cheng, captain of Squad One of the Special Humans Team."

Ye Ruan was too nervous to speak. Only after quietly taking a deep breath did he manage to make a sound.

His already soft, sweet voice sounded even more pitiful with nerves, as though someone had been bullying him.

"H-hello."
