The Temple was safe. There were no people or zombies.
The temple really wasn't large. Only the Main Hall, which housed the statues, was fairly spacious; the smaller halls stood to either side.
Fortunately, the courtyard was clean and roomy. They had tents, and once they pitched them and laid out their sleeping bags, they had a place to nest.
Gu Cheng locked the car, carried his conveniently acquired father-in-law, and led his bunny inside.
The members of all three teams got to work without being told.
Gu Cheng casually dumped his father-in-law down and looked up at the sky.
The sky had been clear that morning, but as noon approached, it darkened as though rain was coming.
"The Start of Winter is almost here. Even with sleeping bags, we won't rest well at night if it rains."
Yu Jingjing ran over from the back courtyard.
"Captain! There are a few empty rooms out back meant for people to live in. Together with the Main Hall, they should give us just about enough space."
Ye Ruan stepped into the small hall on the right, looked around for a moment, then came out and said:
"Cheng, the statue in the Side Hall is small. Have Li Rang carry it into a corner, then we can clean off this platform and pitch tents on it too."
Gu Cheng went over to take a look.
"Sure. Move the one in the left hall too, and we'll have enough room."
Gu Cheng tapped his fingers against the wooden door. The solid wood door was short, less than two meters tall, but heavy.
Once they shut it at night, they would be safe.
Yu Jingjing grinned and pointed to the other side.
"Sixth Brother and Old Fang are figuring out how to move the statue
