"Young Wei." A hoarse voice sounded behind him. An old man emerged slowly from a room farther back, leading a dog on a rope.
The dog's bloodred eyes fixed on Wei Yanchi.
Wei Yanchi turned and smiled calmly. "Good morning, sir. Is there something you need? I have to stop by home."
The old man shook his head, his hoarse voice like a blunt saw cutting wood. "Nothing much. I just wanted to ask how Granny Wang's health is."
