Drizzle fell from the sky, raindrops clinging to the roses on the wall. Dusk approached, and darkness rose with the night, spilling down alongside it.
Xie De sat at the desk inside the Viscount's Castle, holding a pen with a cold metallic sheen. He stared expressionlessly at the notebook on the desk. The lamp cast a pale yellow light over its blank spaces.
After a long while, he looked up and said helplessly, "455, I still don't think I can bring myself to do it. If we write in it, do you think we might unleash an even more unpredictable disaster?"
"...Host, isn't this enough of a disaster already? The Worldline kicked us out, especially me. If I'd known this world was so petty, I should've snuck in a few insults. Bastard."
The Book of Creation was what 455 called the original novel.
Normally, nothing would happen if an ordinary person touched it. Unfortunately, 455 was an outsider to this world, while Xie De was cannon fodder who had gone off track. The moment those two touched it-welp, they were screwed.
The Worldline noticed something was wrong. The Worldline decided to make corrections.
455 screamed as the Worldline chased it all over the world, then joined Xie De in a life of hiding. In reality, they had hidden inside an Instance space. It was an independent space, somewhere the Worldline couldn't find.
The Worldline's corrections had also thrown the original novel's major characters into varying degrees of chaos. Wei Yanchi was the first to suffer. In the original novel, he should have been destroying an Instance at this point, earning the title of Godslayer. Instead, he was beating the hell out of a Demon at the Laboratory's Arctic Base.
The butterfly had flapped its wings far too hard.
