The Ghost Bride had always been confined in the Spatial Cage within his Subconscious Space, guarded by the Giant Dragon. She had always been gentle, nothing like a Vengeful Ghost guilty of some terrible crime, but rather an ordinary woman.
He had never let her out, nor had he sensed the prison in his Subconscious Space opening.
So why was the Ghost Bride here?
The Ghost Bride did not answer him.
She kept humming that tuneless little melody, gently combing her hair. Slowly, she glanced back with a faint smile, revealing a pale, indistinct face.
"Young master, you've brought me home."
The sobbing outside grew heavier and more intense, winding around their hearts and slowly squeezing tight.
The Ghost Bride shattered like a reflection in water and vanished without a trace.
The Giant Dragon in the Spatial Cage was yawning, undisturbed.
Wei Yanchi stared hard, then turned, opened the door, and stepped outside. White silk fluttered from the eaves like wandering ghosts, while thin strands of moonlight shone a dizzying, desolate white.
Something was wrong with the Wei Family Old Residence. He seemed to harbor more secrets than he had imagined, and these people did
