After the debate, the two demons vanished into the darkness beneath the ocean waves, silent. Not another sound came from them, as though they had withdrawn into another world.
Leviathan's enormous eyes closed, revealing the sky's true appearance. A few stars twinkled in the pale blue sky, though they looked less like real stars than light bulbs, casting a faint light over this strange city.
The dim, decaying city had a distinctive architectural style reminiscent of Italy, or ancient Greece as depicted in myths. Now, it was so quiet that only the ocean currents could be heard.
Strangely enough, they could see seawater enveloping the city, yet they felt no suffocation and could not touch it at all.
Xie De and Wei Yanchi walked quietly among the city's buildings, looking up at the towering Divine Pillar and lightly touching the buildings. They were made of ordinary marble.
Wei Yanchi pressed his hand against the Divine Pillar, letting the cold spread through him without caring. He was merely a little hesitant. Watching the figure ahead, he lingered where he stood, choosing his words as he waited.
He waited for Xie De to bring up the debate with the two demons on his own, watching him expectantly.
Xie De had not noticed him yet. He was busy dealing with the headache that was 455.
"Hey, what are you doing? You're acting like an ostrich. You weren't this cowardly when we met Asmodeus and Beelzebub."
"Hey, don't say that, don't say that." 455 cautiously poked its head out and looked around, then said secretively, "I sensed the Main God System's data stream here, right inside this city. I suspect Leviathan is a demon working with the Laboratory, just like Asmodeus."
"I'm just afraid I'll get killed the second I show my face, okay?
