He opened his mouth wide with a vicious grin, his jaws stretching impossibly far to expose terrifyingly sharp teeth. Like a cat toying with a mouse, the grotesque, beautiful head circled Xie De, then swooped down so swiftly that Xie De had to dodge at once.
He panted, his expression cold as his unyielding mechanical hand stiffly wiped away the bloody scrapes he had suffered while dodging Asmodeus.
It was rare to see him so disheveled. His violent movements had mussed his hair, and a few strands had slipped free of their binding, whipping wildly in the wind.
Asmodeus laughed loudly, his voice shrill. "How pitiful. You almost make me want to cherish you. What a shame, what a shame! You're the renowned Colonel, with the resolve to die for your country. Oh my, I really am..."
