"Ji Xie."
The moment he closed the door, Li Xian took the little tentacle out of his pocket.
"I'm here."
Ji Xie answered quietly. Perhaps it was just his imagination, but as Li Xian looked at the little creature in his palm, with neither eyes nor a nose, he felt that Ji Xie seemed much more listless.
Frowning, he brought Ji Xie up to his eyes and carefully turned him all the way around.
There aren't any wounds here...
His fingertip gently stroked the tentacle. Just as he was about to pull away, Ji Xie gave an almost imperceptible shudder. Li Xian noticed, and his heart trembled along with him. He immediately stopped moving.
"Does it hurt somewhere?"
Ji Xie took the opportunity to suction himself to his fingertip. Li Xian froze. Afraid of tugging at some unseen "wound" above it, he kept his finger suspended in the air.
"Why do you ask?"
Ji Xie deliberately waited a while before giving his leisurely reply.
Seeing that he was trying to play dumb again, Li Xian cut straight to the point.
"I heard the notification that your health points had dropped. Were you punished for breaking a rule?"
Li Yuanqing could only be killed by Li Xian himself-not just to target him, but to enrage him into signing the "Betting Agreement" that had long since been prepared.
Although Li Xian hadn't personally struck the final blow at the end of the Instance, the system had succeeded in making him furious.
Realizing he couldn't bluff his way out of this, Ji Xie released Li Xian's finger and hopped from his palm onto the bed, giving his body a demonstrative flick.
"It was just one broken rule. That's nothing to me."
Even with Ji Xie saying that, the notification about his lost health
