Ke Yi had already come over, intending to take Li Xian away as Ji Xie had told him to, but seeing the state the two were in, he hesitated again.
In those brief two seconds, another impact struck the hull.
Li Xian took a deep breath, then asked Ji Xie:
"Are the Crew Members chasing us, or the Captain?"
He answered immediately:
"The Crew Members."
"They've already dealt with the Captain."
Li Xian's mind raced as he pieced this information together-although several parties had contributed to the tragedy, the most direct cause of the deaths of the Crew Members beneath the sea was the Captain's murderous attack.
They hadn't realized the timelines overlapped while they were alive, either, so the Captain should have been their only target for revenge. But now that they had avenged themselves, why were they still refusing to let this ship go?
What exactly had gone wrong?
Since they had caught up, they must still have some unfulfilled wish or objective. The question now was what that objective actually was-
If they wanted revenge on the players, that clearly made no sense. If they simply wanted to sink the ship, that would mean the Instance had created a dead end with no way out.
The ship rocked more violently with every impact. Ke Yi tightened his grip on the railing. Seeing Li Xian silently staring at the sea, he gritted his teeth and turned to Ji Xie:
"You have a way to deal with this, right? If you don't do it now, it'll be too late!"
Those words abruptly snapped Ji Xie out of his thoughts-Li Xian's behavior had been so unexpected that, for a moment, he hadn't known how to react.
"I can handle it."
He tried to reassure Li Xian and get him to
