Over the next few days, Ji Xie quickly adapted to life in the human world.
Li Xian bought him a phone and linked a bank card to it, intending to encourage Ji Xie to go out more and learn about human society. Yet aside from taking out the trash or going downstairs to buy groceries, he seemed to have little interest in going out.
After all, Ji Xie belonged to another world-in a sense, perhaps he counted as a husband who had married into the family (?)-so Li Xian always felt he ought to do his part and keep him from getting too bored. He began thinking about taking Ji Xie out somewhere fun.
...It would count as a date, too.
But what seemed simple at first turned out to be a difficult decision once he gave it some thought.
An amusement park? Neither roller coasters nor haunted houses would be remotely challenging for us, and the other attractions don't seem all that fun...
The movies? I don't think Ji Xie would be interested, and everything showing lately is awful...
A murder mystery game or an escape room? I've already had more than enough of those in Instances...
Li Xian listed various options in his mind, then rejected them one by one. His brows drew together in frustration, and his gaze fell on the phone by the bed.
He glanced up at Ji Xie, who was holding a tin box he had unearthed from somewhere and carefully examining its contents.
This was what Ji Xie liked doing lately-exploring the various objects in the room and occasionally asking about anything he didn't recognize. Li Xian didn't mind, patiently answering him every time.
While Ji Xie wasn't looking his way, Li Xian secretly opened his phone.
*If he's interested in going somewhere,
