"Yunxiao, do you know that Dai Huabin?" Xiao Xiao asked curiously.
"You beat him up back then?" Wang Dong'er looked just as curious. "Gu Yunxiao, tell us more. How did you beat him up?"
"It was probably four or five years ago."
Gu Yunxiao smiled. "I was already traveling the continent then. I'd visited pretty much all the capitals of the Four Great Empires, as well as some of the more famous cities."
"When I left Star Luo City, I happened to run into a party from the White Tiger Duke's Mansion heading into the city. They were riding in a carriage."
"The road stretched beneath the open sky, with room for each of us to go our own way. But they were arrogant and overbearing, and the servant driving the carriage deliberately picked a fight, making trouble out of nothing."
"So I kicked their horse over and overturned their carriage. As it happened, the second young master of the White Tiger Duke's Mansion, Dai Huabin, was sitting inside."
"And so the conflict snowballed. I gave the whole group another beating, leaving some injured and others crippled. As for Dai Huabin... heh."
Gu Yunxiao had never been someone to trifle with. Even four or five years ago, his attacks had been not only vicious but dirty, aimed specifically at vital spots.
Those arrogant servants were as good as crippled, with little hope of ever amounting to anything afterward.
As for Dai Huabin, Gu Yunxiao had rewarded him with several resounding slaps and carved a few words into his face, thoroughly humiliating him.
Of course, worse still, he had left Dai Huabin with his rooster flown and his eggs smashed. The excruciating pain had made him pass out on the spot.
Whether Dai Huabin had ultimately recovered was hard to say.
