Background / History

Dragon Valley and the Star Dou Great Forest

Gu Yuena brought Gu Yunxiao back from Dragon Valley, raised him, and allowed him to live in the Star Dou Great Forest. The heavenly-tribulation power within him consumed the Dragon God power left in Dragon Valley, mutating his Nine-Headed Chimera into a Twelve-Headed Chimera 2 11 19 22.

His awakening projected a gigantic twelve-headed dragon whose roar frightened soul beasts across the continent. At Shrek Academy, Mu En sensed the unfamiliar dragon aura and sent Xuan Zi to investigate cautiously 2.

Gu Yuena subsequently appointed Yunxiao the Soul Beast Clan’s young lord and entrusted him with restoring both the Soul Beast and Dragon clans. Di Tian formalized his authority over the ferocious beasts, who were ordered to supply cultivation treasures. Bi Ji began his education with soul-beast identification and cultivation theory before introducing combat training 11 13.

The Ice God’s Bargain

In the Far North, Yunxiao agreed to shelter the fading Ice God in his sea of consciousness after questioning whether she might possess him. She granted him the Extreme Dust Ice Bow and promised cultivation guidance 7.

Sky Dream Ice Silkworm’s sacrifice supplied the bow’s first ring, but the weapon rejected his attempt to reside inside it. Yunxiao proposed preserving his consciousness in another spiritual soul beast; Di Tian allowed only part of it to survive and removed information that could expose Yunxiao’s identity 9.

Gu Yuena’s Recovery and His Departure

Yunxiao discovered that heavenly-tribulation power carried in his blood could destroy portions of the divine energy lodged in Gu Yuena’s wounds. He began supplying blood while learning elemental control from her. Their relationship developed into a mutual romantic partnership before he left the forest 21 22 27 30.

Gu Yuena prepared him for life among humans by assigning Bi Ji and Zi Ji as guardians, giving him her Silver Dragon Reverse Scale, and placing a controllable safeguard in the Ice God’s remnant soul 29 30.

Shrek Academy

Yunxiao initially chose the Practical Soul Tool Department for its flexible schedule. He later admitted that its one-hour daily class requirement mattered more than any strong interest in soul tools. Yan Shaozhe secured his additional enrollment in the Martial Soul Department only after accepting one class per month and promising a ten-thousand-year ice-attribute soul bone 36 47.

Shrek’s leadership mistakenly identified him as a Clear Sky Sect successor. Yunxiao allowed this assumption to benefit him rather than correcting it. His talent, unusual rings, and concealed guardians made the academy reluctant to antagonize him 43 44 95.

His gatherings with the ferocious beasts double as opportunities to collect treasures, while his academy negotiations secure rewards and minimal attendance. His conduct ranges from considerate to coercive. He spares training opponents and orders their healing, distributes suitable immortal herbs to his companions, and helps free Zhang Lexuan from her contract.
