"If you ask me, Lord Sukuna really is the undisputed strongest."
"Uraume's glazing again. What's your precious Lord Sukuna without Mahoraga? Could he even get through Satoru Gojo's Limitless?"
"Satoru Gojo wasn't all that. He couldn't hold a candle to my Tiger Emperor's seven-kilometer Dismantle after sixty-eight years of grinding."
"Tiger Emperor? Since when did little Tiger become an emperor? Could he survive Lord Dabura's light-speed kick?"
As the comment section erupted into a heated argument over who was the strongest in Jujutsu Society, Lu Yun, a veteran Kashimo glazer, couldn't resist pulling up his keyboard to join everyone's friendly discussion.
Lu Yun: "Let me spell it out: our Lord Hajime Kashimo, the God of Thunder, is the strongest. If the God of Thunder went all out, one blast of Executioner's Lightning would wipe you all out. Does anyone in this comment section get it?"
He hit send and attached a meme of Hajime Kashimo holding a "candied fruit skewer."
"Nothing beats dropping a bit of bait like that in the comments after coming across a Jujutsu powerscaling video~"
Lu Yun made sure to mute notifications, then left in satisfaction after watching all kinds of comments pour in beneath his post.
"Now, if I could get that thrilling elephant-versus-house showdown from season three of Jujutsu Kaisen, with the absolute banger 'AIZO' playing in the background... I can't even imagine how good that would feel!"
Savoring the spectacular scene, Lu Yun absentmindedly swiped his phone screen, looking for his next bit of entertainment.
Suddenly, his finger stopped above the phone. The new content on the screen had caught his attention again.
"If you had one chance to choose, would you pick 'getting together with your dream girl' or 'gaining the strength of a Special Grade Sorcerer and joining the Culling Game'?"
The corners of Lu Yun's mouth lifted, and he opened the comments without a moment's hesitation.
"Sure, the dream girl is nice, but that's a weakling's mindset. A real powerhouse would obviously choose the Culling Game. Let's see just how hard this Sukuna guy is to beat."
He finished typing the comment and tapped send. An inexplicable white light suddenly flared, engulfing the entire room.
"Holy shit! Who threw a flashbang?!"
As Lu Yun cried out in shock, the white light faded, and he vanished from the sofa where he had been lounging.
With a clack, his unsupported phone fell to the floor under gravity's pull, and silence returned to the rented apartment.
"That fucking uploader hid a flashbang at the end of the video! Pulling shit like that-how are his parents supposed to live with themselves?"
Lu Yun opened his eyes, cursing, only to find that the scene before him was nothing like his familiar rented room.
"Huh?"
With a puzzled grunt, Lu Yun rubbed his eyes hard, confirming that what he saw wasn't a hallucination caused by the blinding flash.
"Well, holy shit! Where the hell did I end up? Am I even still in China?"
Lu Yun was utterly lost, like a headless fly. The furnishings around him were completely different from those in his tiny rented room. He couldn't understand how he'd suddenly gone from his apartment to this place.
Did I black out while scrolling through videos? I knew I shouldn't watch that cursed shit every day.
Still without a clue, Lu Yun decided to wash his face and calm down first.
Maybe I'm just dreaming. Trolling the comments every day isn't exactly easy. I really need some proper rest.
Lu Yun silently reassured himself.
He found the bathroom, turned on the faucet, and splashed cold tap water on his face. His head did feel considerably clearer.
He looked up at the mirror above the sink, and his body froze in place as though he had been turned to ice.
"No, seriously, dude. Who are you?"
The reflection was no longer the black-haired, brown-eyed young man he'd seen countless times, so familiar that he almost seemed strange. Instead, it was an unfamiliar yet faintly recognizable face, with blue hair tied into buns.
Lu Yun's eyes widened as he stared fixedly at the face in the mirror. He raised a trembling hand toward the top of his reflected head. Sure enough, however much he wanted to deny it, he felt two hair buns.
"Wait, could this be..."
That distinctive hair color and hairstyle, coupled with the vaguely familiar face, brought a possibility to Lu Yun's mind.
Before he could confirm his guess, a voice rang out directly inside his head.
"Hey, brat. Enjoying my body?"
The voice struck like thunder, shattering every thought in Lu Yun's mind. Wave after wave of stabbing pain rose from deep inside his head. He clutched it in agony, feeling as though his soul was about to be torn from his body.
As if talking to himself, the owner of the voice spoke again:
"I didn't think you'd have any lingering consciousness. That Kenjaku really is unreliable. Never mind. I'll put you out of your misery."
The stabbing pain intensified again. Realizing that death was imminent, Lu Yun had no time to think about anything else and hurriedly blurted out:
"Wait! I know you! You're Hajime Kashimo!"
"Oh? I didn't expect anyone in this era to recognize me."
Hajime Kashimo was a little surprised to have his identity revealed, but he didn't stop encroaching on Lu Yun's consciousness.
"It's a bit of a shame, but if I'm going to challenge Sukuna, you'll have to take one for the team, kid."
"Don't, God of Thunder! I can help you fight Sukuna! I know a lot about Ryomen Sukuna, the King of Curses!"
Desperate to survive Hajime Kashimo, Lu Yun racked his brain, dredging up information from the original story that might offer him a chance to live.
"It's no use, kid. I already saw your memories during the earlier assimilation. You don't know anything about Sukuna. Be good and head off to the other world. Don't worry. I'll put your body to good use."
When the ancient sorcerers who had made contracts with Kenjaku were reborn through incarnation, they could see the memories of their bodies' original owners. That was precisely how they adapted so quickly to modern life.
Hajime Kashimo had clearly mistaken Lu Yun for the original owner's lingering consciousness. Having seen that owner's memories, he naturally believed Lu Yun couldn't know anything those memories didn't contain, much less take Lu Yun's word for it so easily.
That was also why Lu Yun could communicate in Japanese so effortlessly, although he hadn't realized it himself.
Just as Lu Yun grew dazed and his consciousness was about to vanish completely, he finally hit upon a way to persuade Hajime Kashimo and blurted out:
"Your name is Hajime Kashimo. You were born four hundred years ago, and your cursed energy has electrical properties. You can attack by separating electric charges.
Your most common method of attack is to build up a charge inside your opponent's body by striking them, then discharge it.
You never used your innate cursed technique during your lifetime because once you activate [Mythical Beast Amber], you can't stop it, and you'll die when it's over. Yet in your entire life, you never met an opponent worthy of fighting with your technique.
Every opponent you encountered was as fragile as a clay doll against the properties of your cursed energy alone, and the lack of powerful enemies left you lonely. That's why you accepted Kenjaku's proposal to return through incarnation four hundred years later and fight Ryomen Sukuna, the sorcerer Kenjaku considered the strongest.
Am I right?"
