Background / History

Before transmigrating, Lu Yun was a black-haired, brown-eyed young man who worked a nine-to-nine schedule six days a week. He was a devoted Hajime Kashimo fan and an experienced online provocateur, familiar with the original story’s characters and powerscaling arguments 1 2 38.

During an online exchange, he chose gaining Special Grade strength and entering the Culling Game over being with his dream girl. A flash of white light transported him from his apartment into an unfamiliar room, where he discovered that he had Kashimo’s appearance 1.

Lu Yun was not the body’s original owner. Kashimo initially mistook him for that owner’s lingering consciousness and tried to erase him. After the original owner passed his remaining soul power to Lu Yun, the two reached a stalemate. Lu Yun secured a temporary agreement by offering to locate powerful opponents: he would handle ordinary life, while Kashimo would receive priority in worthwhile battles 1 2.

Kashimo initially demanded a fight with Sukuna within three days. Lu Yun rejected this as suicidal, and the condition was revised to finding any sufficiently powerful opponent within five days. Kashimo’s battles in Sendai fulfilled the agreement, removing the threat to Lu Yun’s consciousness and establishing genuine coexistence 2 21.

After securing his temporary pact, Lu Yun discovers that access to Kashimo’s power does not automatically grant the skill to use it. His attempts to summon a transmigration “system” only call Kogane, while Shinichi Tanaka stalks him. Kashimo saves him from Tanaka’s attack and provides a practical lesson; Lu Yun then kills Tanaka and receives his first private reward notification 3 4 5.

Joining Jujutsu High

Lu Yun defeats Naoya and approaches Yuji and Choso as a prospective ally. His unexplained knowledge attracts Yuta’s scrutiny, while his surprise incapacitation of the brothers supplies rewards just before their fight 28 29 30.

The battle forces him to discover Elementalization’s limits: Yuta interrupts his ranged attack with Cursed Speech and injures him through Domain Amplification. Lu Yun wins Yuta’s trust by firing Thunder Beast Bomb away from him, prompting a concession and formal welcome. The resulting rewards let Lu Yun end his transformation and heal his severed arm 31 32 35 36 37.

Temporary Base and New Allies

Lu Yun identifies Yuji as Sukuna’s vessel but persuades Kashimo to wait until Sukuna can provide a worthwhile fight. At the temporary base, he knocks Megumi unconscious for another reward, then frustrates him further by expressing disappointment when his Mahoraga summoning is stopped. His prediction of Nobara’s recovery reassures Yuji and increases the others’ interest in his supposed information network 38 39 40.

Yaga’s Rescue and Kenjaku

Lu Yun’s warning allows Jujutsu High’s allies to interrupt Yaga’s execution. After learning the location from Panda, he flies ahead and confronts Kenjaku, destroying a cursed-spirit swarm with Chidori and revealing his enormous reserves 43 44 45.

When Kenjaku prepares Womb Profusion, Lu Yun attempts to answer with Primordial Sage. Kenjaku cancels the confrontation as Yuta approaches and escapes behind weaker spirits. Lu Yun is left frustrated by the failed expansion and missed opportunity, but Yaga survives 45.

Sparring with Yuki Tsukumo

Yuta’s comparison between Lu Yun and Gojo prompts Yuki to test him. Elementalization initially defeats her physical attacks, but Domain Amplification and a mass-enhanced kick expose the danger of fighting carelessly. Lu Yun counters with his modified, physically tangible Thunder Beast form and wounds her with Thunder Claw 47 48 49.

Kashimo then disables Mythical Beast Amber, forcing Lu Yun to continue with his independently acquired abilities. He seizes Garuda, sends electricity along it, and turns the exchange into a tug-of-war. His red-steaming, lightning-cloaked strength surge begins pulling Yuki toward him while Garuda cracks under the strain; the contest remains unresolved 50.
