Qin Siyang looked across the empty wasteland and asked, "Then... where's Professor Wu?"
"I rushed back because Chang Tianxiang sent word that Wu Yu's electrical signal had disappeared. The others should have received his message too. They're on their way here."
"It looks like the impostor might have lured Wu Yu off in another direction."
Li Tianming looked around. There were no footprints anywhere. "Xiao Qin, how long have you been back here?"
"Five or six hours? When did Professor Wu's electrical signal disappear?"
"Five or six hours ago too."
At that, Li Tianming's brow furrowed as he scanned their surroundings.
"Looks like the enemy knew you were coming back and got Old Wu out of the way beforehand!"
Qin Siyang's heart leaped into his throat. "Will Professor Wu be all right?"
Li Tianming let out a long, heavy sigh through his nose. "Old Wu's quick on his feet, and aside from me and Old Zhang, he should be the strongest of us. I don't think anything will happen to him."
"There are no signs of a fight here. His electrical signal probably disappeared for some other reason."
"So you mean..."
"My guess is he discovered something but couldn't safely pass the information to Chang Tianxiang, so he turned off his phone himself to alert Chang Tianxiang and get us all back here."
"Then can't we tell Professor Chang Tianxiang and have him pass the word to everyone else?"
"We don't have any communication skills. How would we tell him? All we can do is receive Chang Tianxiang's messages and follow his instructions."
"Wait, didn't you say that whoever found me would tell Professor Chang so he could notify everyone else?"
"Whoever found you was supposed to switch their phone's location signal on and off three times in a row.
