Li Tianming took out another cigarette and lit it.
He said nothing more.
Qin Siyang looked at the worry on Li Tianming's face and patted his shoulder, unsure what else to say.
After they had waited two or three hours, another figure appeared on the Wasteland.
Qin Siyang and Li Tianming looked over.
When the man saw them, he took off his mask as well.
It was Zhang Kuang.
Zhang Kuang looked at them and asked, "Old Li? Xiao Qin?"
"That's us. Looks like you ran into impostors too. Ask a question so we can verify each other's identities."
"All right. What day of the week does the kindergarten serve abalone?"
Li Tianming scratched his forehead. "You said that stuff was rationed. Neither of us has ever eaten it, so how would we know what day they serve it?"
"Right. It's you two."
"Old Zhang, how's the paper I asked you to publish for Qin Siyang coming along?"
"Haven't touched it. There's no rush."
"Yep, it's Old Zhang."
"Haven't touched it?!"
Qin Siyang's eyes widened.
"It's almost May! You haven't even touched the paper?! What am I supposed to do when school starts?!"
Zhang Kuang rubbed his unkempt hair. "What's the rush? It's just a paper. I'll definitely get it done on time."
There was nothing Qin Siyang could do about that.
After all, he still needed help from Zhang Kuang and the other professors.
He had no right to order Zhang Kuang around, either.
Once they had confirmed his identity, Zhang Kuang came forward.
"Old Li, you might not like hearing this, but I think there's a mole among us."
"I know."
"As long as you're aware."
"Who did you run into impostors of?"
Zhang Kuang shrugged. "You two and Old Wu."
"We each only ran into one Counterfeit.
