Qin Siyang drove the Drill Pod at full speed, fleeing the area.
The familiar sound of a Sandworm burrowing through the earth came from behind them again.
Only after another twenty minutes or so did the sounds of pursuit gradually fade.
Qin Siyang glanced at the map, took another detour, and returned to a spot about a hundred kilometers from the Safe Zone.
Then he brought the Drill Pod back to the surface.
Hu Chan looked at Qin Siyang. "You want to try again? Why don't we take a break? That Sandworm has set its sights on us for no reason, and we can't get anything done. Let's come back another day."
Qin Siyang's tone was flat. "Unless you don't want your payment for this trip, do as I say."
"You!"
Hu Chan clenched his fists, so angry at Qin Siyang that his chest felt tight.
"We've been running all over the place on this trip, and it never ends. When are we going to stop?! If that Sandworm keeps chasing us, am I supposed to spend my whole life following you around Outside the Safe Zone?!"
"Qin Siyang, I may need your help, but I'm not your slave!"
Qin Siyang felt that Hu Chan's anger was not entirely unreasonable.
They had been chased by the Sandworm twice in a row today. If it kept following them, that would mean this really wasn't a good time to hunt Gods.
Qin Siyang felt utterly helpless and kept rubbing the top of his head.
I was in too much of a hurry when I left today. I forgot to check the Earth Calendar!
He hurriedly opened his phone.
[Earth Era, May 24, 2010] [Western Calendar, Monday.] [Xia Calendar, Gengyin Year, fourth month, eleventh day. Auspicious: removing obstacles, traveling. Inauspicious: marriage.]
