Hu Chan looked at Qin Siyang, several times on the verge of speaking before stopping himself.
After much hesitation, he finally spoke.
"President Qin, didn't you say we were going to keep hunting gods?"
"That's right."
"Then why do you keep driving toward the Safe Zone?"
"If we get too far from the Safe Zone, we're more likely to run into danger. We just encountered a Nightmare Lantern Tree. Although we survived by sheer luck and got a seed whose purpose we don't know, I still don't want to go through that again."
Watching the distance to the Safe Zone shrink, Hu Chan asked, "Then how far from the Safe Zone do you plan to look for Blood Moon Spiders and Abyss Hounds?"
"Around twenty kilometers."
Having just narrowly escaped an encounter with a large god, Qin Siyang was rattled too, so he made the most cautious decision he had ever made.
Hu Chan rubbed his chin and said thoughtfully, "Twenty kilometers... that's too close to the Safe Zone. I feel like there won't be enough resources."
Qin Siyang glanced at Hu Chan. "Not enough resources? Ever since you survived the Nightmare Lantern Tree's attack, you've become ridiculously cocky. There are medium gods twenty kilometers out, and whether you can beat them is still an open question. If you actually run into one, who ends up being whose resource is anyone's guess!"
"President Qin, that may be true, but there's something I need to remind you of."
"Go ahead."
"As time goes on, there will be more and more sequence ability users like us, stuck at sequence level five and seeking offerings for sequence level six. As their average strength rises, the search for gods outside the Safe Zone will extend farther and farther."
"You're not wrong." Qin Siyang nodded.
