Ch. 1782What's-Your-Name

Qin Siyang forced the Godslayer Spear to accept the name “What's-Your-Name,” then questioned it about the curse in the seawater and his immunity to it. The spear warned him to conceal his unusual resistance and think ahead to powerful curse-wielding enemies, but Qin Siyang chose to focus on surviving the Succession Star Competition.

  • Qin Siyang threatened to bury the Godslayer Spear in filth until it agreed to be called “What's-Your-Name.”
  • Qin Siyang asked the spear about curses, and it explained that curses intruded into the body like poison and usually required specific skills or equipment to resist.
  • The Godslayer Spear said it could not explain why the seawater was cursed because a higher-level existence monitored communication during the Succession Star Competition.
  • Qin Siyang learned that he appeared immune to the seawater curse, a trait the spear believed might be unique on Earth.
  • The spear warned Qin Siyang to hide his immunity because curse-sequence users were rare and powerful, and Qin Siyang inferred that powerful First Domain figures might wield curses.
  • Qin Siyang dismissed the need to plan for future enemies and said he would focus on surviving the competition first.

Ch. 1783Holy Son Hu was trapped

Qin Siyang searched the sea for Zhang Kuang but found no trace of him, then learned that Hu Chan and other World-Destroying Church members had been trapped by the First Domain. He set out with reinforcements to rescue them, planning to take on one of the enemy’s domain sequence level two fighters himself.

  • Qin Siyang searched the ocean for two days without finding Zhang Kuang or any sign of human activity, then returned to shore.
  • Qin Siyang and Duan Chongfang learned Hu Chan had not returned, and Gu Yunzheng arrived asking for help because the First Domain had trapped Hu Chan and other World-Destroying Church members.
  • Qin Siyang used his Lie Detector to verify Gu Yunzheng’s account and learned that a traitor had revealed the Church’s base to the First Domain.
  • Qin Siyang took Gu Yunzheng and the injured Zhaxi aboard the Capsule Pod and headed underground toward the trapped group, while Duan Chongfang went to summon more help.
  • Gu Yunzheng explained that the Church had dwindled from over five thousand members to just over two hundred, and Old Johnny gave the wounded medicine that could regrow Zhaxi’s leg.
  • Qin Siyang assigned the reinforcements to occupy the First Domain’s fighters while he planned to fight one domain sequence level two enemy alone.

Ch. 1784Surprise attack (ten updates tomorrow)

Qin Siyang and the others launched a surprise attack on the enemies gathered above the surface, and Qin Siyang killed two domain-sequence opponents. He left the remaining enemies engaged with his allies and continued toward the next fight.

  • Qin Siyang stopped the Capsule Pod near the target, and Quan Taibin explained that his new search tool would help locate Zhang Kuang in the Ocean.
  • Qin Siyang led the group through the surface and attacked the wind-controlling domain-sequence enemy with the Godslayer Spear.
  • Qin Siyang disrupted the enemy's wind-based evasion until the man reappeared, then killed him after repeatedly destroying his body.
  • Qin Siyang went to help Gu Yunzheng, split the fire-wreathed enemy with his spear, and killed him despite his pleas to negotiate.

Ch. 1785No Worries Left Behind (First update)

Qin Siyang and his companions helped the World-Destroying Church defeat First Domain forces, then worried that traitors among the Church could reveal their location. Gu Yunzheng proposed that the Church travel with Qin Siyang’s group at sea, turning the risk into support for their expedition and research.

  • After two domain sequence level two enemies died, Hu Chan led a counterattack, and the defenders killed all the First Domain attackers, including a fighter who used a Life-Substitution Lamp.
  • Qin Siyang saw the World-Destroying Church’s crowded, impoverished hideout and watched its members celebrate their victory.
  • Hu Chan told Qin Siyang that two domain sequence level one members had betrayed the Church, raising fears that others might reveal their location to the First Domain.
  • Gu Yunzheng proposed moving the Church members into a Spatial Artifact and taking them along on Qin Siyang’s sea voyage so they could help with the research and fight the First Domain.
  • Hu Chan welcomed Gu Yunzheng’s proposal, and Qin Siyang agreed to make the arrangements.

Ch. 1786In remembrance (second update)

Qin Siyang and his companions prepared to search the Ocean for Zhang Kuang while Quan Taibin and Gu Weihong reinforced the Capsule Pod. After honoring the dead on Qingming Festival, Qin Siyang renewed his resolve, and the group set out to sea.

  • Qin Siyang's group brought more than two hundred members of the World-Destroying Church with them, while he continued searching the Ocean for Zhang Kuang and concealed his immunity to curses.
  • Quan Taibin and Gu Weihong reinforced the Capsule Pod against tsunamis, and everyone planned to leave after observing Qingming Festival.
  • Gu Yangsheng paid respects to the Gu Family's dead and declared that he wanted to become a hero like them.
  • Qin Siyang mourned the many dead remembered on the engraved stones and vowed to see his mission through to the end.
  • The World-Destroying Church shared green rice dumplings with the group, and Qin Siyang piloted the Capsule Pod carrying everyone out to sea.

Ch. 1787Sima's transformation (third update)

Sima Ji confronted Baron Henry over the death of his son Grant, refusing to confirm the killing while warning that he could kill Henry. As Sima Ji unleashed a blizzard across the mountains, Chen Xiao'en used a silver coin to attack Henry's attendants with shadowy beast claws.

  • Baron Henry privately asked Sima Ji whether he had killed Grant, and Sima Ji said he might have killed Grant if he had been among those who attacked him.
  • Sima Ji argued that the First Domain could be plotting against him and warned Baron Henry not to mistake the First Domain's strength for his own.
  • Sima Ji declared that he would certainly kill Baron Henry and unleashed a storm that shattered peaks and engulfed the snowy mountains.
  • Baron Henry's attendants asked Chen Xiao'en what was happening, and Chen Xiao'en activated the beast engraved on his silver coin.
  • Shadowy beast claws emerged beneath the attendants and pursued them along their shadows, while Chen Xiao'en watched with golden beast eyes.

Ch. 1788They Couldn't Wait (Fourth update)

Chen Xiao'en and Sima Ji defeated Baron Henry and his followers during a blizzard, but Baron Henry tried to escape using a death-substitution item. Sima Ji destroyed him and revealed that he planned to challenge the Henry Family before it could secure its power over the other domains.

  • Chen Xiao'en used the blizzard and shadow beasts to suppress and kill Baron Henry's attendants, while Sima Ji froze Baron Henry inside an ice sculpture.
  • Baron Henry escaped the shattered ice with an antique bat badge, but Sima Ji raised an ice wall and stopped him from fleeing the blizzard.
  • Baron Henry split into blood-red bats, but the snow and wind froze most of them, and Sima Ji dragged the last one back and destroyed it along with the badge.
  • After the blizzard receded, Sima Ji told Chen Xiao'en that he intended to oppose the Henry Family, whose power might weaken after the failed invasion of the Eighth Domain delayed the arrival of a Star Lord.
  • Sima Ji explained that the Henry Family had sent Baron Henry to provoke him to secure control over the other domains, and he said he had not killed Baron Henry's son.

Ch. 1789The Mechanical-Bone Ape Cleared the Way (Fifth Update)

Qin Siyang and Hu Chan searched the endless ocean for five days, while the Mechanical-Bone Ape urged the ocean’s Large Gods to open [Succession Trials] for the Eighth Domain’s Domain Master. The Large Gods agreed to consider the request, leaving the candidate’s chance of advancing beyond domain sequence level five dependent on whether he could claim a first clear.

  • Qin Siyang and Hu Chan found no land after five days at sea and worried that their energy supplies would run low.
  • The Mechanical-Bone Ape met the ocean’s Large Gods and asked them to open [Succession Trials] for a candidate he supported.
  • The Land-Carrying Mirage and the other Large Gods refused, explaining that they had no interest in conducting trials while they pursued their own improvement on Earth.
  • The Mechanical-Bone Ape revealed that he knew why the ocean’s Large Gods remained on Earth and warned that he could expose their secret.
  • The Mechanical-Bone Ape told the Large Gods that the Eighth Domain’s Domain Master might become a [Miracle Worker], prompting the Land-Carrying Mirage to reconsider the request.
  • The Land-Carrying Mirage said the rules prevented them from opening a trial for one candidate alone, and the Mechanical-Bone Ape accepted that someone else might claim the first clear.

Ch. 1790Seven islands (sixth update)

Qin Siyang encountered a Large God that froze his companions and began a [Succession Trial], ordering him to find the true island among seven. He chose the forest-covered island, and the other islands vanished as soon as he stepped onto it.

  • Qin Siyang discovered that Hu Chan, Gu Yunzheng, Duan Chongfang, and Old Johnny had frozen while the sea sank around the Capsule Pod.
  • A seven-eyed Large God asked Qin Siyang if he was looking for islands, and he answered yes.
  • The Large God told Qin Siyang to find the true island among seven or disappear, then transported him to a reef with seven paths leading to different islands.
  • Qin Siyang chose to investigate the forest-covered island, whose towering trees and white mist seemed increasingly ominous.
  • Qin Siyang stepped onto the forest island, causing the sandy paths and the other six islands to disappear.

Ch. 1791Refusing to Be Milked (Seventh Update)

Qin Siyang landed on a bone-covered island where the assessment stripped away his Crimson Armor and the forest attacked him. He discovered he could harvest the regenerating bones from the island’s edge, but after filling dozens of Storage Boxes, the bone trees began fleeing from him.

  • Qin Siyang found himself trapped in a forest of sharp, living bones after landing on the island, and a branch cut his unarmored arm.
  • Qin Siyang realized the attacks grew stronger toward the island’s center, then returned to the edge to conserve his strength and collect the bone fragments.
  • Qin Siyang used his Godslayer Spear, a poisonous-gas artifact, and Storage Boxes to harvest the bone forest’s shattered branches and roots.
  • After filling more than thirty Storage Boxes, Qin Siyang moved into a denser section and collected another twenty-odd boxes of bones.
  • Qin Siyang approached the remaining trees, but the bone forest tore its roots free and fled from him.

Ch. 1792The Bone Forest (Eighth update)

Qin Siyang fought through the bone forest to uncover the trial’s hidden enemy and discovered a giant spine that attacked him with echoes of his pain. After shattering its protected fourteenth vertebra, he left the island shaking, though the result of the trial remained unclear.

  • Qin Siyang reached the island’s center and pinned a vertebral worm to a bone tree, stopping the forest’s movement and revealing a massive spine beneath the ground.
  • The spine mimicked Qin Siyang’s voice to make his wounds hurt, and he realized the silent fourteenth vertebra was its target.
  • The spine shielded the fourteenth vertebra and battered Qin Siyang, who refused to use his skill and instead drank a Healing Potion.
  • Qin Siyang shattered the spine’s first thirteen vertebrae despite sustaining serious injuries.
  • The fourteenth vertebra opened its eyes and said, “Stay,” but Qin Siyang thrust his spear and shattered it, shaking the island.

Ch. 1793Skeletal Bream (ninth update)

Qin Siyang passed Skeletal Bream’s Bone Forest trial and received the [Bone Forest Echo] reward, then learned that the seven-island challenge was still underway. He chose to pursue all seven trials and left to search for the correct island, which Skeletal Bream refused to identify.

  • Qin Siyang met Skeletal Bream after breaking the small spine at the Bone Tree and learned he had passed the trial without using a skill.
  • Skeletal Bream awarded Qin Siyang [Bone Forest Echo], which sensed underground movement and formed a protective bone shell against severe close-range attacks.
  • Qin Siyang learned that passing Skeletal Bream’s island trial did not end the larger seven-island challenge.
  • Qin Siyang decided to attempt all seven trials, despite Skeletal Bream warning that the others could put his life in danger.
  • Qin Siyang asked Skeletal Bream to identify the correct island, but Skeletal Bream told him to rely on luck.

Ch. 1794Afraid Your Buddy Hasn't Suffered Enough (Ten updates)

After the Skeletal Bream refused Qin Siyang’s request, Qin Siyang salvaged the reef rocks and chose the shell-covered island among the six destinations. The Skeletal Bream and Land-Carrying Mirage then gloated that Qin Siyang was heading toward the Tide-Listening Clam’s island, where they expected him to plunder everything.

  • The Skeletal Bream refused Qin Siyang, who returned to the reef rocks without obtaining the remaining bone fragments.
  • Qin Siyang discovered the reef rocks were nearly indestructible, collected all he could move, and found that the sand paths had changed into immovable rock paths.
  • Qin Siyang considered the six islands, set aside the ice and fire islands, and headed toward the shell-covered island.
  • The Land-Carrying Mirage, Skeletal Bream, and Mechanical-Bone Ape discussed Qin Siyang’s plundering, and the Land-Carrying Mirage revealed he was heading to the Tide-Listening Clam’s island.
  • The Skeletal Bream and Land-Carrying Mirage took comfort in expecting the Tide-Listening Clam to suffer losses, while the Mechanical-Bone Ape questioned their attitude.

Ch. 1795Loot the Biggest One First

Qin Siyang explored Shell Island, where predatory scallops called to him in familiar voices and hid blue pearls. He attacked the island’s largest scallop, whose voice shattered his Crimson Armor and left him badly injured and disoriented.

  • Qin Siyang reached Shell Island and found that the reef path had vanished, trapping him there.
  • Qin Siyang resisted a shell’s imitation of Hu Chan’s voice, stabbed it with the Godslayer Spear, and pried out a blue-green pearl.
  • Qin Siyang fought off fleshy tongues from nearby scallops and collected another, deeper-blue pearl.
  • Qin Siyang decided to target the biggest scallop first and flew toward the towering shell.
  • The largest scallop spoke in Old Johnny’s voice, shattered Qin Siyang’s Crimson Armor, and shook his body and consciousness.

Ch. 1796The Age of Treasure Hunting

Qin Siyang endured the Tide-Listening Clam’s attacks, stole its blue pearl, and began harvesting pearls from the other clams across Shell Island. The Land-Carrying Mirage, Skeletal Bream, and Mechanical-Bone Ape watched as he ignored the trial and focused on gathering treasure.

  • The enormous scallop’s voice and tongue attacked Qin Siyang, but he used [Feast Kingdom] and [Domain Banquet Order] to stay conscious and survive.
  • Qin Siyang wedged the Godslayer Spear into the scallop’s shell, entered it, and grabbed the blue pearl before escaping with [Feast Kingdom].
  • The enormous scallop’s tongue turned to seawater, and the clams across the island opened and called Qin Siyang’s name in fury.
  • Qin Siyang pried open medium and large scallops, tore free of their tongues, and collected their blue pearls in his Storage Box.
  • The Land-Carrying Mirage, Skeletal Bream, and Mechanical-Bone Ape watched Qin Siyang strip the Tide-Listening Clam of pearls and worried that he had forgotten the trial.

Ch. 1797The Divine Scallop Was Far Too Generous!

Qin Siyang looted pearls from Shell Island until the Tide-Listening Clam offered him the trial’s white-pearl requirement. He negotiated with the Divine Scallop to let thirty of his friends pass the trial, ending the chapter with the scallop agreeing.

  • Qin Siyang ignored the white pearl that appeared to mark the trial’s end and continued gathering blue pearls from the island’s scallops.
  • The Tide-Listening Clam begged Qin Siyang to stop, and he paused after emptying about a third of the shells so his friends could still benefit from the trial.
  • Qin Siyang asked the Divine Scallop to help thirty friends pass, threatening to keep looting if it refused.
  • The Divine Scallop bargained with Qin Siyang, raising its offer from five candidates to thirty as he continued taking pearls.
  • Qin Siyang stopped looting, thanked the Divine Scallop for its generosity, and secured passage through the trial for thirty candidates.

Ch. 1798Tide-Listening Bone

Qin Siyang completed the Tide-Listening Clam’s succession trial, earned the Tide-Listening Bone skill, and kept the pearls he had seized. He chose the frost-covered island for his next trial as the Large Gods and the Succession Envoy discussed whether they had followed the rules.

  • Qin Siyang thanked the Tide-Listening Clam, explained his bold approach, and confirmed that he planned to pass the trials of seven beings.
  • The Tide-Listening Clam let Qin Siyang keep the Tide-Listening Pearls and awarded him the passive skill Tide-Listening Bone, which helped resist sound-based attacks.
  • Qin Siyang returned to Reef Rock, considered the Tide-Listening Clam’s warning, and headed toward the frost-covered island.
  • The Tide-Listening Clam emerged from the water, and the Skeletal Bream and Land-Carrying Mirage teased it about its anger.
  • The Succession Envoy arrived as a crow, warned the Large Gods to follow the rules, and flew away.
  • The Mechanical-Bone Ape speculated that the Succession Envoy had bet on more than one candidate.

Ch. 1799The Last Island

The Large Gods discussed whether to invest in Qin Siyang, a candidate they believed might be a [Miracle Worker], by opening more trial slots for him. Qin Siyang cleared three more trials and approached the final, fire-wreathed island.

  • Tide-Listening Clam, Land-Carrying Mirage, and Mechanical-Bone Ape urged Skeletal Bream to bet on Qin Siyang, but Skeletal Bream remained hesitant.
  • Ice Dolphin arrived after Qin Siyang tore apart its Ice Crystal Maze with an Intermediate Growth Artifact and stripped away part of its scales.
  • Ice Dolphin agreed to run more trials for Qin Siyang, and Land-Carrying Mirage also committed to helping him.
  • Qin Siyang passed the trials of Lantern Anglerfish, Abyssal Squid, and Cloud-Eating Turtle, bringing back three rewards.
  • Qin Siyang reached the final island, which was wreathed in flames.

Ch. 1800Second-Stage Joint Examination

Qin Siyang passed the Land-Carrying Mirage’s first-stage trial and learned that a second stage awaited him. He chose to rest before attempting it, while the Large Gods revealed that the second stage was a perilous joint trial designed to kill exceptional examinees and protect their rewards.

  • Qin Siyang extinguished the last island’s flames, found real soil beneath them, and watched the Land-Carrying Mirage emerge from the sea.
  • The Land-Carrying Mirage congratulated Qin Siyang for passing its trial and warned that the second stage would be far more difficult given his exhaustion.
  • Qin Siyang confirmed he would attempt the second stage after resting, learned there was no time limit, and entered a Spatial Artifact to recover until tomorrow.
  • The Large Gods worried that Qin Siyang might die in the next trial, but the Land-Carrying Mirage explained that the Evolutionary Contract prevented it from interfering with his choice.
  • The Land-Carrying Mirage revealed that all seven Large Gods would join the second-stage trial and that its extraordinary reward had been devised alongside a plan to eliminate gifted examinees and limit losses.

Ch. 1801The Seven Gods' Second-Stage Trial

Qin Siyang began the Land-Carrying Mirage’s second-stage trial, which required him to survive until the tide receded while facing the other six Large Gods’ trials at once. He destroyed the Bone Forest’s main roots and disabled his hearing to resist the Tide-Listening Clams as the attacks continued.

  • Qin Siyang accepted the Land-Carrying Mirage’s warning and chose to begin its second-stage trial.
  • The Land-Carrying Mirage explained that Qin Siyang had to stay alive until the tide receded to pass.
  • The trials of all six wrong islands appeared on the island, including the Bone Forest, Tide-Listening Clams, an icy maze, and Deep-Sea Behemoths.
  • Qin Siyang used Bone Forest Echo to locate the Bone Trees’ roots and severed three main roots with the Godslayer Spear.
  • Qin Siyang ruptured his own eardrums to block much of the Tide-Listening Clams’ sonic and mental attacks, then struck at them with his spear.
