Somewhere in a cold, gloomy underground chamber.
The injured Obito lay sprawled on the ground like a wild beast, the madness in his eyes chilling to behold. From time to time, he let out an agonized roar.
"That wasn't the real Rin at all!"
"Yes, she must have been a fake that bastard Hatake Shinichi created!"
"He wants to confuse me? He can dream on! The real Rin would never say those things to me! Rin, I will create a world with you in it. Nothing can be allowed to go wrong with the Infinite Tsukuyomi plan!"
"Hatake Shinichi! Kakashi Hatake! You're both my enemies, and I will never forgive you!"
Obito had already descended into madness. His utterly twisted state of mind had only strengthened his original resolve.
In Shinichi's words, he was a master of self-deception.
Compared with Sasuke late in the original story, he had become even more deranged. He no longer cared even about his former best friend, Kakashi, and now intended to treat him as an enemy.
Nothing remained in his heart except the Infinite Tsukuyomi plan. To achieve that goal, he would stop at nothing and abandon every moral boundary, even if it meant becoming a demon!
After transplanting the Sharingan he had taken back from Kakashi, Obito finally possessed a complete pair of Mangekyō and attained his greatest power.
It also meant he had fallen completely into darkness!
"Obito, are you all right?"
Black Zetsu emerged from the ground and couldn't help asking.
For some reason, the sight of Obito made even a deeply calculating old schemer like Black Zetsu feel uneasy.
"I'm fine."
There wasn't a trace of emotion in Obito's voice as he said coldly, "For the time being, I won't show myself carelessly again. Hatake Shinichi's power is extraordinary. I'm
