• Zhang Yuan defeated Li Changgeng and the remaining Li Family warriors, then recovered in West Mountain Village as the Li Family withdrew its bounty against him.
• Hui Zhi appointed Zhang Yuan an honorary Guardian Deity General and gave him the Taotie Saber, which Zhang Yuan subdued with the Crimson Blood Blade.

After a merchant-guild trap revealed the Wuqi’s insect-transforming shaman magic, Zhang Yuan faced a gigantic Human-Headed Snake Fish.

• Hui Zhi defeated Yan Anlong, then showed Zhang Yuan the image of Xuan Yu’s murderer, White Wolf, and sent Zhang Yuan to search the Great Dream Marsh.
• Zhang Yuan reached Great Chen Island, fought off Wuqi warriors, and enlisted Wang Wu to help him travel to Gold Sand Island and find White Wolf.

Zhang Yuan exposed a spy within the Gold Sand Gang, then left the island as the Three-Family Alliance prepared its assault. When Xia Ruins arrived to break the siege, Zhang Yuan pursued White Wolf and fought him to a standstill, leaving White Wolf badly injured but still battling.

• Zhang Yuan killed the Human-Headed Snake Fish and the Black-Robed Wizard, then returned to Gold Sand Island with the attacker’s head.
• Zhang Yuan exposed Wang San Gou’s surveillance and Kuang Wei’s betrayal to Fan Tai, who ordered Kuang Wei interrogated and gave Zhang Yuan Qilin Grass.
• Zhang Yuan sent Wang Wu to East Lu Island as the alliance against Gold Sand Island gathered, then returned to help defend the island and accepted Fan Tai’s five-hundred-year Qilin Grass.

• Zhang Yuan pursued the fleeing Great River Gang tower ship, killed Elder Zhu and more than a hundred warriors, then confronted White Wolf underwater.
• White Wolf fled to a small island, where Zhang Yuan battered his armor and shield until White Wolf was injured and spat Essence Blood onto the shield.

After escaping Xia Ruins, Zhang Yuan gained entry to Upper Scene Heaven and joined Xiao Hong’s team for expeditions into the Ink Abyss. He later explored alone, collected a rare Jade Heart Grass, and refused Xiao Yan’s invitation.

• Zhang Yuan killed White Wolf with the Crimson Blood Blade and absorbed his soul consciousness with Deliverance, gaining a consumable point of Luck.
• Zhang Yuan learned Hui Zhi was near death and received a Dragon Pattern Token, then pursued a treasure through Xia Ruins’ tunnels and acquired a Brocade Fur Rat with Storage Space.
