Su Qingqian looked at Lin Hui's back, then at the utterly ordinary storage cabinet. The blush instantly drained from her face, replaced by utter bewilderment.
"Huh? Not that... huh?"
She was so embarrassed she wanted to crawl into a hole.
So the boss had only wanted to show them the supplies?
Beside her, Liu Xi maintained her cool exterior, but a barely perceptible flicker of curiosity crossed her eyes.
She had already suspected that Lin Hui had awakened some extremely rare spatial [Spirit Art] specialization. Otherwise, those mountains of materials and supplies couldn't possibly have vanished into thin air.
"Ready?"
Lin Hui rested his hand on the cabinet's door handle and glanced back at them, a mysterious smile curling his lips.
"What you're about to see might... turn your worldview upside down a little."
Click.
The instant the cabinet door opened, a strange ripple spread outward like waves across water. Instead of ending at a back wall, the dim interior opened into a void bathed in soft white light.
"This..."
Liu Xi had been standing with her arms folded, maintaining her usual poised, mature composure. Now, however, her normally unruffled eyes went wide, her pupils contracting sharply.
Su Qingqian's reaction was even more dramatic. She clapped a hand over her mouth, the lingering blush on her face giving way to a shocked pallor.
"This... what is this...?" Su Qingqian's voice trembled.
With a faint smile, Lin Hui stepped into the white light first, then turned and beckoned to them. "What are you standing there for?"
The two women drew deep breaths and cautiously followed him through the illusory doorway of light.
Whoosh-
It was like stepping straight out of a narrow alley into a magnificent, sprawling plaza.
Their view opened up all at once!
They were standing in an enormous, pure-white space. There were no lights overhead, yet the illumination was soft and bright.
Liu Xi turned her head mechanically, staring at the mountain of supplies to her left.
It really was a mountain.
Cases upon cases of bottled water were stacked high. Over a thousand units of universal fuel stood in neat rows, their industrial precision reassuring to behold. There were all kinds of meat, vegetables, fruit, snacks, daily necessities...
Farther away lay casually scattered firearms, ammunition, and steel...
"This... this is your warehouse?"
Liu Xi took a deep breath, trying to keep her voice from trembling so much.
She had thought Lin Hui merely had a somewhat larger spatial backpack.
But this...
At a glance, it had to hold at least two or three hundred thousand cubic meters! How was this a warehouse? It was practically a miniature world!
"It's a little messy. I haven't had time to organize it yet."
Lin Hui casually picked up a bottle of cola, twisted it open, and took a sip. His tone was as relaxed as if he were showing them the vegetable patch in his backyard.
"It's about two hundred thousand cubic meters right now. Anything stored here stays perfectly fresh and never spoils!"
After the RV reached level 4, the space had expanded by another hundred thousand cubic meters. From then on, each vehicle level would double its capacity.
"Two... hundred thousand... cubic meters?"
Su Qingqian felt as though her brain could no longer keep up.
Just how big was two hundred thousand cubic meters?
That was the interior volume of an entire stadium!
"Boss..." Su Qingqian swallowed, gazing dazedly at Lin Hui. "Are you sure you're not related to the 'Road Survival Game'?"
How was this a vehicle? It was a mobile sanctuary!
Unlike Su Qingqian, who was simply stunned, Liu Xi focused on something more practical. Nothing ever spoiled?!
She walked over to the mountain of supplies. All the food was incredibly fresh, as though it had just been harvested.
Liu Xi was shaken all over again.
As someone who had once held a position of power, she knew all too well what this meant.
This wasn't merely storage. It was a strategic-grade resource preservation facility!
But that wasn't what shocked her most.
Liu Xi noticed over two hundred pieces of alloy emitting a muted blue sheen. She didn't recognize them, but one look told her that high-strength titanium alloy couldn't compare.
Beside the blue titanium alloy sat several dozen pieces of "advanced bulletproof glass."
She had never seen Lin Hui collect these rare materials.
And Liu Xi noticed another detail.
The steel and "basic bulletproof glass" salvaged from the New Light Mutual Aid Association's and the Feral Wolf Guild's tanks and armored vehicles, the countless steel scraps dismantled from abandoned cars, the high-strength titanium alloy obtained at the abandoned aviation and auto parts factory...
All those materials were gone.
The only scrap steel here was what they had just salvaged after ambushing the goateed man's convoy.
Could it be...
A wild idea surfaced in her mind.
Liu Xi pointed at the pile of blue titanium alloy, hesitating. "Boss, these..."
Lin Hui had watched every one of Liu Xi's reactions. He smiled and casually tossed the empty cola can aside.
He walked over to the small pile of steel and lightly rested his slender fingers on the scrap plates.
"Liu Xi, watch closely."
Lin Hui willed it.
The golden legendary trait-[Infinite Synthesis]-activated!
In an instant, dazzling golden light erupted from Lin Hui's palm, enveloping the entire pile of scrap steel before him.
Humm-
A strange hum reverberated throughout the space.
Under Liu Xi's and Su Qingqian's terrified gazes, the gray-black steel seemed to melt, violently twisting, compressing, and restructuring!
Impurities were stripped away, and its molecular structure was forcibly altered.
The gray-black mountain of scrap shrank at a speed visible to the naked eye.
A few seconds later.
The light faded.
The original pile of scrap steel had vanished.
In its place, neatly stacked on the floor, were three "perfect-grade blue titanium alloy plates" emitting a soft blue glow.
Their deep blue was mesmerizing, their surfaces smooth as mirrors, as though they held a sea of stars within them.
"This is..."
Liu Xi reached out with a trembling hand, wanting to touch them but not daring to.
Lin Hui dusted off his hands and said casually, "I used about thirty thousand units of scrap iron to synthesize three units of blue titanium alloy."
Dead silence.
The entire pocket dimension fell deathly silent.
Liu Xi whipped her head around to look at Lin Hui.
At last, she understood why Lin Hui dared to buy scrap iron with such extravagance.
Why his vehicle's defenses were so absurdly strong.
So that was it...
He was different from ordinary players.
Here in this wasteland, Lin Hui, with such a godlike ability at his command, was practically... a god!
"Oh my god..." Su Qingqian clung to Lin Hui's arm, stars in her eyes. "Boss! From now on, I'll believe you even if you say the sun is square! That was so cool! So incredibly cool!"
Turning a pile of junk into priceless, top-tier alloy in an instant.
That was the power of a creator!
Liu Xi drew a deep breath, trying to calm her racing heart. She looked at Lin Hui. "Boss. With an ability like this... our business can go far beyond mere 'procurement.'"
"We could even monopolize the entire rare materials market in the C-996 Region!"
Lin Hui gave her an approving look. "Then I'll leave that in your hands."
