"Yamato, don't hit them so hard! The ship's going to sink!"
Dressed in a black Shinra combat uniform, light silver armor, and a black coat, Sephiroth was once again enthusiastically cosplaying as "himself."
But after hoisting a pirate into the air on his great katana, Masamune, he noticed that Yamato, who was having the time of her life, seemed to be dismantling the ship.

This pirate crew had been unlucky enough to cross the Red Tears' route, so they had been dealt with along the way.
Their captain had a bounty of forty-seven million. In this era, before bounties became inflated, that made him something of a figure in the first half of the Grand Line.
Unfortunately, Yamato, a contender for "strongest Emperor's second-in-command," had knocked his head down into his torso on their very first exchange.
Unless there was a target worth going after, Sephiroth generally didn't set sail specifically to hunt pirates. He usually just dealt with them along the way.
