Jaya Island, Titans Airport-
Beneath the night sky, searchlights of every make lit the rugged, mechanized port as brightly as day.
Its basic layout combined an airport with a harbor, with landing pads for Aviation Airships and ground-level docks dedicated to Sailing Airships.
Maglev Airships had their own specialized docks, outside the public zone.
The buildings and infrastructure were made primarily of concrete and gray iron, with brass accents. The old-fashioned steampunk science-fiction aesthetic evoked the Victorian Industrial Revolution.
Heavy metal plates paved the ground, covered with intricate machinery and rails. Some facilities featured complex arrangements of gears, pipes, and valves.
Workers wearing mechanical support gear, engineering robots, and assorted other staff were all busy with their own duties.
Perhaps because Titans practiced "Megatron-Style Enslavement," the workers looked positively radiant, even on the night shift.
"Those are Marines... why are they here?"
A worker in gray-iron-colored Titans workwear and an Engineering Exoskeleton watched curiously as more than a dozen troop transports raced toward Dock No. 1, carrying nearly three hundred Marine soldiers.
The silver wrench on his collar marked him as a senior worker. On night duty, he had yet to learn that His Majesty the Mechanical King was out fighting someone.
"They're actually heading to Dock No. 1?"
The young woman coordinating with him lowered her data tablet. The brass valve on her collar marked her as a junior clerical employee.
She wore a Clock Tower employee uniform with a light-fantasy British aesthetic, like a receptionist at the Adventurers' Guild, embellished with steampunk brass accessories.
"That's... the Wide-Area Silent Ship's dock. Looks like something serious."
In the lead transport, Marine Headquarters Colonel T Bone sat upright, his "terrifying" gaze sweeping over the subordinates seated on either side.
These gray-iron-colored troop transports were intended for rapid movement behind the lines.
