Whole Cake Island, North Side-
After entering the island's perimeter, the Red Tears reduced its speed and altitude, flying low southward along the northern river.
Whole Cake Island had several ports, but only two offered direct access to the "chateau."
The port open to outsiders lay at the upstream end of the river on Whole Cake Island's South Side: River Port, in Dessert City outside the chateau.
The Red Tears was approaching Inner Lake Port in the chateau's back garden, normally reserved for the Charlotte Family's use. Relatives by marriage counted, too.
"It's the Great Angel~! The Great Angel is here!"
"The world's number-one playboy~!"
"The most handsome man in the world~!"
"Our honored son-in-law~!"
Along the way, the Homies on either bank of the northern river cheered, from flowers and trees to rocks and streams.
On the outer bow deck of the Red Tears, Sephiroth, Yamato, and Issho looked down at the fairy-tale garden scenery.
"Oh, my! What an extraordinary country."
Leaning on his Cane Sword, Issho observed through his Observation Haki. This was his first visit to Totto Land, and even the cursory look he had taken from the deck along the way had filled him with wonder.
Hearing about it from Sephiroth and "seeing" it himself were very different experiences.
"They aren't living things, yet they have emotions?"
He had sensed the Homies' condition, too. They actually possessed something akin to a "heart." His expression grew complicated.
"They were made with the 'power of souls,' after all."
Dressed in a white knight's formal uniform, Sephiroth answered as he gazed toward Whole Cake Chateau to the south, the oncoming wind lifting his blond hair.
"...Yeah, I thought it was strange the last time I came, too. Food talking and all that..."
Beside him, Yamato was dressed as "Nian."
