Ch. 1The Holy Son arrives

Sephiroth, Birka’s winged Holy Son, studied scripture and tried to secure influence before Enel’s return threatened the island. The chapter ended with him intervening when a matron abused Lilith, a black-winged maid.

  • Sephiroth read an outdated newspaper reporting Fisher Tiger’s attack on Mary Geoise and learned that Birka remained isolated from Blue Sea news.
  • Sephiroth recalled how his unusually large wings had led his parents to give him to the church as its Holy Son, and how Birka’s faith and his own knowledge shaped his standing.
  • Sephiroth studied sacred texts and mechanical automation in the church library while Isabella asked him questions and invited him to dinner.
  • Sephiroth relaxed in the church’s soil-covered Sanctuary and heard a commotion beneath a tree.
  • The matron tripped Lilith and insulted her black wings, and Sephiroth appeared and ordered the matron to be silent.

Ch. 2World-shaking wisdom

Sephiroth defended Lilith from abuse and later protected her from town bullies, alarming his escort Shura and drawing the Pontiff’s attention. After the Pontiff questioned him about Lilith, he set the matter aside and announced that the time had come to show Sephiroth the Church’s supreme sacred scripture, the Ark Maxim.

  • Sephiroth rebuked an old nun for condemning Lilith and comforted the girl after she nearly fell.
  • Several days later, Sephiroth went incognito through Birka with Grand Knight Shura and asked about weapons made from iron cloud.
  • When children mocked and pelted Lilith, Sephiroth covered her wings with his cloak and ordered their parents to discipline them.
  • Shura reported Sephiroth’s public defense of Lilith to the Pontiff, who summoned him and asked about the girl.
  • Sephiroth told the Pontiff the time had come, and the Pontiff agreed to show him the Ark Maxim.

Ch. 3The Rumble-Rumble Fruit

Sephiroth spent years redesigning the Ark Maxim so it could function without the Rumble-Rumble Fruit while preparing to gain authority and stop Enel. After he completed the new ship’s blueprints, the apple on his desk transformed into the Rumble-Rumble Fruit.

  • Sephiroth continued developing the Ark Maxim plans while Isabella urged him to train and Lilith served as his attendant.
  • Sephiroth watched Enel, a Wingless serf, endure brutal treatment and secretly planned ways to obtain authority or eliminate him before he could destroy Birka.
  • By 1513, Sephiroth had completed a modified ship design with both Rumble-Rumble Fruit propulsion and a backup system using Sky Island dials.
  • Sephiroth passed the squire examination, comforted Isabella after she failed her Grand Knight assessment, and finished the blueprints for the Wide-Area Silent Ship.
  • The apple on Sephiroth’s desk transformed into the Rumble-Rumble Fruit as he completed the blueprints.

Ch. 4The descent of God

After eating the Rumble-Rumble Fruit, Sephiroth discovered that it gave him powerful electromagnetic abilities and caused the church leaders to believe God had descended upon Birka. He tested the fruit’s limits high above the island and returned toward Birka after learning how broadly he could use its power.

  • Sephiroth ate the Rumble-Rumble Fruit, gained an electromagnetic perception, and shocked the Pontiff and Holy Knights, who knelt and declared him the reincarnated God.
  • Sephiroth flew to the stratosphere above Birka and tested Electromagnetic Mantra, which let him sense a vast area and detect magnetic and biological signals.
  • Sephiroth tested his flight, stealth, and electromagnetic abilities, then fired a railgun shot that vaporized its coin projectile after roughly forty meters.
  • Sephiroth assessed the stamina costs of his abilities and found that their strength depended heavily on his mental state.
  • Sephiroth dived through the clouds, triggered lightning, and descended toward Birka in his elemental form.

Ch. 5King of Babylon

Conis arrived at Sephiroth’s temple to begin work as his personal attendant, but fainted when she first saw his radiant angelic guise. After she woke, Sephiroth and Isabella discussed why he had chosen her, then Isabella’s teasing turned into a private moment with Sephiroth while Conis remained on the sofa.

  • Conis climbed the temple steps and entered Sephiroth’s living quarters to report for duty as his attendant.
  • Conis saw Sephiroth’s glowing angel form and fainted before she could speak to him.
  • Sephiroth carried Conis to the lounge, where Isabella found them and asked why he had chosen Conis.
  • Sephiroth said his unusual Mantra had revealed information about Conis’s fate, while Isabella teased him about their relationship and Lilith’s promise to wait for her.
  • Sephiroth approached Isabella to explain what being a bride meant, leaving the still-weak Conis unable to interrupt.

Ch. 6Central Sixty-Four Chambers

Sephiroth presided over Babylon’s council as its leaders advanced plans for currency, agriculture, aquaculture, and a silent ship. The meeting turned awkward when the Shandia Elder offered Laki as Sephiroth’s attendant, and Lilith arrived just as he was about to respond.

  • Sephiroth attended the Central Sixty-Four Chambers meeting alone and told the representatives to proceed without Isabella.
  • Gan Fall presented Babylon’s new gold currency system, while the council reviewed agricultural development, dial aquaculture, and construction of the Wide-Area Silent Ship.
  • The narration revealed that Enel had died in a construction-site accident, which Sephiroth denied causing.
  • The Shandia Elder asked Sephiroth to accept their outstanding female warrior, Laki, as his attendant, and Sephiroth appeared ready to agree.
  • Lilith suddenly appeared and asked Sephiroth whether she had interrupted at a bad time.

Ch. 7The Hands of God

Conis adjusted to life as Sephiroth’s personal attendant while Isabella and Lilith teased each other about Isabella’s night with him. Thirty days later, Babylon celebrated Sephiroth’s wedding to Isabella and Lilith beneath the Golden Bell, ushering in a new era.

  • Conis recalled how Lady Lilith had cared for her after she fainted and wondered what her new life as Sephiroth’s attendant would be like.
  • Lilith questioned Isabella about her night with Sephiroth, and the two friends joked and wrestled together in the bedroom.
  • Sephiroth chose the square outside the Temple for the wedding, and the people of Babylon prepared celebrations across Sky Island.
  • On the wedding day, Sephiroth greeted the Pontiff before Isabella and Lilith arrived with their attendants, Conis and Laki.
  • Sephiroth married Isabella and Lilith beneath the Golden Bell as it rang over Babylon.

Ch. 8Lunar Base

Sephiroth completed Babylon’s first space warship and led its inaugural voyage to the Moon. There, he uncovered ruins of an ancient city called Bilka whose people appeared to share Shandia ancestry, leaving Wyper stunned.

  • Sephiroth finished calibrating the Wide-Area Silent Ship while Laki served as his attendant and Conis brought afternoon tea.
  • Sephiroth held the ship’s launch ceremony, and the Wide-Area Silent Ship rose from Babylon and blasted into the sky.
  • Sephiroth and his expedition reached the barren lunar surface, where he blasted open a rock face and revealed ancient ruins.
  • Sephiroth led Wyper and the others deeper into the ruins, where murals showed people wearing Skypiean clothing and Shandia ornaments.
  • Sephiroth revealed the lunar city’s name was Bilka and teased Wyper that the Shandia and its inhabitants shared a common ancestor.

Ch. 9Operation Descent

As Babylon’s metal shortages stalled production, Sephiroth halted Mechanical Servant manufacturing and planned expansion to the moon while Isabella and Lilith discussed having children. In February 1515, the Splendid Ash arrived over Jaya Island and attacked Mock Town’s pirate ships.

  • Gan Fall reported that Babylon had nearly exhausted its metal supplies, and Nefas Ur and Setka supported expanding outward.
  • Lilith suggested suspending Mechanical Servant production, and Sephiroth agreed to revise the allocation plan while Babylon prepared to relocate residents to the moon.
  • Isabella asked to take on work, but Sephiroth carried her away because she was five months pregnant.
  • Lilith revealed that seeing Isabella pregnant had made her want a child, and Sephiroth urged her to consider whether the desire was more than an impulse.
  • In February 1515, the Splendid Ash descended on Mock Town, and its guns blasted pirate ships in the harbor.

Ch. 10A world of splendid ash

Sephiroth launched Operation Descent against Mock Town, using the Splendid Ash and mechanical servants to destroy the pirate fleet and suppress resistance. Bellamy defeated a squad of Zakus, but Sephiroth, disguised as the Steel King, struck him down and demanded to know which king he had mentioned.

  • Sephiroth ordered the Splendid Ash to sink the pirate ships and deploy Zakus into Mock Town.
  • Bellamy led his crew to confront the attackers, and Sarquiss challenged the warship to come down and fight.
  • Bellamy destroyed one Zaku immediately, then outmaneuvered and defeated the remaining three after a prolonged fight.
  • Bellamy boasted that he would help Doflamingo become Pirate King, just as Sephiroth descended before him in the Babbage Armor.
  • Bellamy attacked with his strongest spring-powered strike, but Sephiroth slapped him through five buildings and asked which king he had mentioned.

Ch. 11Titans

Mont Blanc Kulikate and his companions arrived at Sky Island aboard a Babylon Airship, while Sephiroth consolidated Titans’ rule in Anaheim and prepared the island for future expansion. The chapter ended with Doflamingo’s officer Gladius confronting Sephiroth over Bellamy’s capture, and Sephiroth accepting the challenge.

  • Mont Blanc Kulikate learned that the Golden Country had been lifted to Sky Island and arrived at Heaven’s Gate, now a fortified airport, with two companions.
  • Sephiroth ordered the Servo Angels to enslave pirates wanted dead or alive and impose labor reform on other criminals, while ensuring their children would become ordinary citizens.
  • Sephiroth connected to Anaheim’s signal network and detected a call on Bellamy’s Den Den Mushi.
  • Gladius demanded to know who had taken Bellamy, and Sephiroth revealed that Bellamy would never answer again.
  • Gladius threatened Sephiroth on Doflamingo’s behalf, and Sephiroth told him to come before the call ended.

Ch. 12Doflamingo wanted to call the cops

Doflamingo visited Titans’ coastal base expecting to intimidate its leader, but Sephiroth met him in Babbage’s armor and turned the encounter into a battle full of technological surprises. After trading attacks with the mech and its Black Enchantress puppet, Doflamingo reconsidered whether becoming allies might be wiser.

  • Doflamingo arrived near Jaya Island with Buffalo and Gladius and followed a Pilot Boat to Titans’ No. 3 Coastal Base.
  • Sephiroth, concealed inside Babbage’s armor, refused Doflamingo’s offer to join him and launched into battle after resisting his Conqueror’s Haki.
  • Babbage withstood Doflamingo’s strings, dodged his attacks, and countered with chainsaw and iron-sand assaults while Doflamingo used a string puppet and optical camouflage.
  • Sephiroth deployed the Black Enchantress puppet, which imitated Doflamingo’s Overheat attack and tied him up while Babbage charged its electromagnetic cannon.
  • Doflamingo evaded the cannon blast, sensed Titans’ nearby robot forces, and decided that becoming allies might be preferable to fighting them.

Ch. 13God's Firstborn Son

Monet infiltrated Titans by taking a job at the Clock Tower, while Sephiroth welcomed his and Isabella’s son, Gilgamesh, on Babylon. A month later, Monet saw a striking young man from Sky Island arrive at the Clock Tower, though the chapter ended before she learned who he was.

  • Monet secured a clerk position at Anaheim’s Clock Tower to spy on Titans for Doflamingo and uncover its technology and Sky Island routes.
  • On May 1, 1515, Isabella gave birth to a healthy boy, and Sephiroth named him Gilgamesh.
  • Monet spent a month learning about Titans but failed to uncover the secret of the Artificial Angels or get close to Babbage.
  • While Monet worked at the Clock Tower, mechanical soldiers escorted a young, winged man and six attendants into the administrative hall, drawing her attention.

Ch. 14Artificial Heaven

CP8 agent Alpha attended a meeting between Sephiroth and Babbage, where she gathered misleading intelligence as Sephiroth used the meeting to feed information to Titans’ spies. Babbage agreed to make Titans a World Government Member State, while Sephiroth revealed that he wanted the status to build a worldwide network for the Artificial Heaven Project.

  • Alpha, a CP8 agent, worked undercover in Titans’ Clock Tower and was summoned to record Sephiroth and Babbage’s meeting.
  • Sephiroth and Babbage discussed their alliance while Alpha inferred that Babylon’s king was a powerful angel-like Devil Fruit user.
  • Sephiroth recognized that Alpha, Monet, and two other attendants were spies and decided to use them to spread information he chose.
  • Babbage told Sephiroth that the World Government had invited Titans to become a Member State, and he decided to accept.
  • Sephiroth agreed with Babbage but said Babylon could not join, then explained that Titans’ affiliation would help him build a global signal network for the Artificial Heaven Project.

Ch. 15An Angel Descended by My Side

Alpha completed negotiations for Titans to join the World Government while secretly reporting to CP8, which ordered her to investigate Babylon’s Angel. Meanwhile, Sephiroth returned from the East Blue after killing Arlong and lifted Cocoyasi Island into the sky, leaving Nami and the villagers to begin a new life.

  • Alpha led Titans’ delegation through accession talks, and CP8 officials claimed credit for her work while arranging to keep her undercover in Titans.
  • Alpha reported that Babbage’s extraordinary productivity depended on his Magnet-Magnet Fruit, and her superior ordered most CP8 agents withdrawn while assigning her to investigate Babylon and its Angel.
  • Sephiroth returned to the East Blue, killed Arlong, and rescued Cocoyasi Village by lifting its island into the sky after the villagers agreed to go with him.
  • Nami visited Bellemere’s grave and mourned her while Carina and Nojiko comforted her at home.
  • Captain Nezumi, unable to explain Cocoyasi Island’s disappearance, reported to headquarters that the Golden Lion was responsible.

Ch. 16How could 6.2 billion in funding be called a scam?

Vice Admiral Momonga tested Sephiroth’s Artificial Angel and witnessed its overwhelming light-based attacks, then learned that improving it would require 6.2 billion Beli in funding. The chapter also showed Sephiroth’s diary, Carina rehearsing as an idol, and the author explaining that the novel had been flagged for revisions.

  • Vice Admiral Momonga fought Black Enchantress at the Titans weapons testing range and was impressed by her powerful attacks and unusual movements.
  • Momonga asked whether the Marines could buy Artificial Angels, and Babbage said the constructs were expensive and could not use their full abilities without his control.
  • Babbage demanded 6.2 billion Beli in research funding to improve the Artificial Angel, leaving Momonga stunned.
  • Sephiroth’s diary recorded his recent activities with Nami, Carina, Conis, Lilith, and others.
  • Carina rehearsed “Scarborough Fair” at the grand theater while Conis accompanied her on the harp, and Sephiroth came up with a new idea.
  • The author explained that distribution had been stopped over alleged sexual-content issues and said he would revise the flagged chapters.

Ch. 17Then let me ask you

Sephiroth reflected on his motives and accepted that he was neither wholly good nor bad, then returned to his daily life in Babylon. The chapter ended with him pursuing Conis while insisting he would give the people he cared about happy lives.

  • Sephiroth questioned why he had gone to the Blue Sea, saved Nami, preserved Babylon's political system, and remained an opportunist toward the World Government.
  • Conis welcomed Sephiroth from the sanctuary and told him that Laki was overseeing physical training for Nami, Nojiko, and Carina.
  • Sephiroth discussed Carina's singing, Conis's musical work, Memory Crystals, and Nami's interest in drawing nautical charts.
  • Sephiroth noted Isabella's time with Gil and considered taking her on an adventure when their child was older.
  • Sephiroth led Conis from the sitting room into her bedroom, where she nervously agreed to continue with him.

Ch. 18The most high-tech episode yet

Sephiroth showed Nami the Wide-Area Silent Ship and took her flying on a magnetic-levitation aircraft while he continued deploying his satellite network. After Nami enjoyed her first flight, Sephiroth planned future satellite coverage near Water 7 and prioritized monitoring locations where future Devil Fruit users might appear.

  • Sephiroth’s Wide-Area Silent Ship hovered above Enies Lobby as its crew prepared to deploy a satellite.
  • Nami asked Sephiroth to take her flying, and he brought her to Hangar No. 1 to use a ray-shaped magnetic-levitation aircraft.
  • Sephiroth protected Nami with an Electromagnetic Shield and escorted her as she learned to pilot the aircraft.
  • Nami asked whether they were near Water 7, and Sephiroth said he would take her there during a future satellite deployment.
  • Sephiroth considered monitoring future Devil Fruit users and identified Loguetown as an early satellite target.

Ch. 19Crying So Loud

Lilith gave birth to Sephiroth’s daughter, Elaina, whose mismatched black-and-white wings left Lilith worried but delighted Sephiroth. The chapter ended with Babylon celebrating the birth with another weeklong holiday.

  • Sephiroth, Isabella, Conis, Laki, Nojiko, Nami, and Carina waited outside Lilith’s delivery room while she gave birth.
  • The midwife announced that Lilith had delivered a healthy princess with silver-gray hair and wine-red eyes.
  • Lilith told Sephiroth that their daughter had one black wing and one white wing, and he reacted with delight.
  • Sephiroth named the baby Elaina, and Gil helped soothe his crying little sister back to sleep.
  • Sephiroth declared a weeklong holiday in Babylon to celebrate Elaina’s birth.

Ch. 20They're After Your Principal

Sephiroth visited Dressrosa as Babylon’s Archangel and met with Doflamingo to discuss their business and Kaido’s recruitment offer. Before leaving, Sephiroth hinted that he knew about Sugar’s danger to their plans, leaving Doflamingo uncertain how much he had discovered.

  • Doflamingo personally welcomed Sephiroth, who arrived with Shura and Ohm, and the two discussed their joint business in Dressrosa.
  • Doflamingo told Sephiroth that Kaido wanted him to join the Beasts Pirates, and Sephiroth declined because he was Sky Island’s king.
  • Doflamingo introduced Sugar and asked Sephiroth for an autograph, while Sephiroth mentioned Aisa’s island-wide Mantra and ability to read intentions.
  • Sephiroth left Sugar an autograph and departed with his attendants without revealing what he knew about her.
  • Doflamingo asked Viola whether she had detected anything unusual, and she said she could confirm Sephiroth was not lying but could not tell whether he knew Sugar’s secret.
