The moment the rear door opened, the air conditioning seemed to stop working. Wilson felt as though he were living through the hottest season on the equator, forcibly wrapped in two down jackets and dumped beside a roaring furnace. The magic runes could supply them with breathable oxygen, but they couldn't automatically regulate their body temperature yet.

Li Jie jumped out of the vehicle and hoisted an RPG onto his shoulder under Constantine's dumbfounded gaze. He tilted his head, took a cursory aim, and pulled the trigger.
"Like I give a damn about any of that!"
The dark gray projectile left the tube with a short, shrill whistle. Its initial speed was slow, like a cumbersome gray football, spinning through a low, flat arc toward Wayne Tower.
After traveling about twenty meters, the projectile's tail suddenly erupted in a dazzling burst of orange-yellow flame, as though a miniature sun had flashed into existence.
Thoom!!!
A deep, earthshaking roar followed-the main rocket motor igniting. The thermobaric bomb abruptly accelerated, trailing a thick, straight streak of blazing white as it drove toward its target.
He had aimed this shot at Giovanni. Zatanna wasn't paying him, after all. As for young Master Wayne, he ought to give him a little more time to catch up with his parents-even if they were twisted versions of them.
"No!" Zatanna's scream was heartrending.
But the rocket didn't hit the glass directly. Just before impact, an invisible force field seemed to warp its trajectory. It traced a bizarre arc, veered upward, and finally struck the lower edge of the observation terrace at the top of the tower.
Boom!!!
The explosion's ring of fire swallowed the illusions of Thomas and Martha Wayne. A
