The door to the Forensics Division swung open, and uneven, limping footsteps sounded behind him. Nygma stopped typing, looked back, and smiled. "Jay, you're walking more and more like Congressman Cobblepot."

"Cut the fucking crap. I'm at least on Gul'dan's level."

Li Jie pulled over a chair and sat down. He glanced at the data and charts on the screen, most of which meant nothing to him, and asked Nygma:

"Ed, about Dick... you heard, right?"

"I heard." Nygma's fingers paused, then resumed typing. "The Galloway Foundation. Theodore Galloway showed up outside the East End school yesterday and spoke with Dick Grayson for approximately eight minutes. During that time, he showed him a business card, documents, and a photograph. Dick's demeanor changed noticeably after he left."

"So what have you figured out?"

Nygma turned his chair to face Li Jie. The screen's backlight reflected in his glasses as two small points of light.

"The Galloway Foundation was registered in 1978. On the surface, it focuses on youth development and community building. Its books are as clean as distilled water, its annual audit reports are flawless, and its list of partners includes a string of respectable-sounding institutions and schools."

"Sounds good."

"In Gotham, being too clean is a problem in itself." Nygma took off his gloves and tossed them onto the workbench. "I looked into their funding. On paper, it comes from a few anonymous trust funds, but when I followed the money, it all disappeared into several layers of shell companies in the Cayman Islands and Luxembourg."

Li Jie nodded without speaking.

"More importantly," Nygma continued, "there's Galloway himself. He's been part of Gotham's social circles for over forty years. He's attended countless charity dinners, City Hall meetings, and foundation gatherings, but there are no more than five publicly available
