An alloy grappling hook trailing a specially made steel cable shot out like a crossbow bolt and buried itself in the roof of an SUV. The mechanism yanked him clear, taking him out of the path of Giant's crushing blow.

He landed on the roof, flicked his right hand to retract the hook, and swung a leg out to knock unconscious a Black Mask gang member raising a gun at him. Diving off the roof, he pulled out two grenades in midair and tossed them toward a nearby thug who held a short baton high, electricity flashing all over his body. Then he rolled as he landed and sprinted toward the Batmobile ahead without looking back.

Thump! Thump!

The grenades burst with two muffled reports. A pale blue, translucent ring of ultracold mist expanded rapidly, and the moisture in the air instantly condensed into a glittering cloud of ice crystals. White frost immediately covered Electrocutioner's upper body and the charging pack on his back, rapidly thickening and hardening into a milky shell of ice. The crackle of electricity cut off abruptly, followed by a sharp burst. Several black cracks appeared in the ice shell, and Electrocutioner toppled over stiffly.

"That's... that's... it?"

Wilson stared, dumbfounded. "He wasn't this useless back at Blackgate Penitentiary!"

"That guy just has an answer for everything." Li Jie pointed at the figure with his cape spread. Batman was jumping onto the Batmobile, pulling a grenade-launcher-like weapon from behind its opened side armor, and firing shot after shot at Giant as he lumbered after him.
