On the bed,

Na'er opened her eyes. Her purple irises gleamed like freshly unearthed gems, a sly light flashing through them.

Na'er grabbed Gu Yue's hand, the corners of her lips lifting.

"Gu Yue, my old jailbird, after three days apart, you ought to look at someone with fresh eyes."

"We've been apart for three years. You think I'm still who I used to be?!"

Na'er sat up.

"Now, you should call me..."

Na'er rose and planted her hands on her hips. "East Sea Dragon King!"

Boom!

The sound of waves crashing against the shore surged around Na'er. The air undulated like the sea, and a dragon's roar rang out.

Gu Yue felt moisture on her face. The churning air around her was like ocean waves engulfing her, and before long, she could no longer breathe.

"Insolence!"

Faced with Na'er's naked provocation, tiny veins bulged on Gu Yue's fair forehead. She was furious.

The Dragon Race,

a race that stood above all living beings,

was also a race with a rigid hierarchy of bloodlines.

For a lower being to offend a higher one was a grave taboo!

Elemental power surged wildly around Gu Yue. Earth, fire, wind, lightning, water, light, and darkness erupted in a violent elemental storm, instantly breaking through Na'er's manifestation of waves and tides.

Gu Yue panted softly, feeling as though she had escaped drowning.

Her lips curled upward, and she was about to fire back with a taunt when she saw her Elemental Domain instantly compressed, crushed by Na'er's manifestation of waves and tides until it could protect only the space less than half a meter around her body.

Gu Yue's face turned livid.

Na'er, however, smiled. "Insolence? Well said. A mere Silver Dragon King like you dares offend me, the East Sea Dragon King? You're the insolent one!"

Gu Yue gritted her teeth. "What exactly is the East Sea Dragon King?"

At that moment,

towering waves of shock surged through Gu Yue's heart.

After all, Na'er had inherited only thirty percent of the Silver Dragon King's power and the Silver Dragon Spear.

She, on the other hand, had inherited a full seventy percent, along with the power of perfect elemental mastery and the Silver Dragon King's extraordinary intelligence.

But now!

Gu Yue realized that she was actually being suppressed!

"Hmph!"

Na'er extended a finger and wagged it from side to side. "Very well. This king shall enlighten you."

"I am foremost among the Four Seas, lord of all scaled creatures. When my Dragon Palace rages, the tides rise across the Nine Provinces."

"Little silver dragon, why do you not kneel before this king?!"

Within Na'er's body,

the East Sea Dragon King Token unleashed its divine power.

In an instant,

an oppressive might alien to this plane descended.

Gu Yue let out a muffled grunt, her knees buckling. Fortunately, she braced one hand against the table in time, narrowly avoiding actually kneeling before Na'er.

"Damn it... how can Na'er's aura be this powerful..."

As someone of dragon blood, Gu Yue was horrified.

Even the Golden Dragon King could not crush her bloodline power. Only the complete Dragon God should have been able to do that!

But she, the Silver Dragon King, had not even fully recovered her strength yet. Where could a Dragon God have come from?

"I don't understand..."

Seeing Gu Yue hold herself up, Na'er grew a little angry.

She had inherited the East Sea Dragon King Godhood only three years ago. It was still too short a time.

Her divine might now had form but no substance. Put plainly, she possessed the divine rank without the actual strength to support it. On top of that, her own essence had originally been one with Gu Yue's and was even inferior to hers, making it difficult to suppress Gu Yue completely.

Just then,

on the snack street in the northern district, wisps of golden energy rose from the busy shops and swiftly headed straight for the Spirit Pagoda in the central district.

The golden energy instantly passed through the Spirit Pagoda and poured into Na'er's body.

"Huh? What's this?"

Na'er was surprised. She suddenly discovered an additional force within her, and in her Sea of Consciousness, she could faintly make out the voices and faces of the snack street's shopkeepers.

The next moment,

the pressure around Na'er intensified instantly. Waves appeared out of thin air and battered Gu Yue.

Thud!

Gu Yue fell to her knees.

The two stared at each other in surprise.

"Holy crap... Gu Yue, my old jailbird, why'd you kneel?"

Na'er burst out laughing.

There was a carefree exhilaration to it, like an emancipated serf raising her voice in song.

"You!"

Gu Yue flew into an utter rage. Her hands underwent Dragon Transformation, and her sharp dragon claws instantly tore through the floor.

She struggled to stand, only to discover that it felt as though she were carrying the entire ocean on her back. She could not get up at all.

"How is this possible?! Did you inherit the Sea God's legacy? Who gave you this power?!"

Resentment seethed in Gu Yue's heart.

"Heh."

"The Sea God? What the hell is the Sea God?"

"I am the lord of the East Sea!"

Na'er scoffed.

Her senior brother had told her that the Sea God was nothing more than a god of Douluo Star.

How big was Douluo Star, anyway?

The East Sea Dragon King, however, was the lord of the East Sea!

Not the East Sea here, but the East Sea that stretched from the Eastern Divine Continent in the west to Heaven and Earth's Return to Ruin in the east!

Gu Yue froze.

"The East Sea? The East Sea here?"

Gu Yue pondered. Could this place be giving Na'er a boost?

Na'er snorted.

"Heh, there's no explaining it to an uncultured fool like you! All you need to know is that it's damn awesome."

In truth, Na'er did not know what sort of place the Eastern Divine Continent was either. All that mattered was that her senior brother had said it was damn awesome!

Gu Yue suppressed her shock, doubts, and anger, softening her tone.

"Na'er, you and I were originally one. Have you forgotten the suffering our Soul Beasts have endured for tens of thousands of years?!"

"Have you forgotten our grand plan as the Lord of Soul Beast?"

"Have you forgotten..."

Na'er nodded. "Yup, I really have."

Gu Yue: ...

"Na'er! Whatever else you may say, you're a Soul Beast! You should be on our side! Now that you've obtained such power, you should put it to good use, seize control of the Spirit Pagoda, and overthrow humanity's rule!"

Na'er chuckled. "Gu Yue, my old jailbird, are you drunk? Why would I want to overthrow humanity?"

"I am who I am! Whatever I, Na'er, love doing or want to do is my own business. Lord of Soul Beast, human oppression-none of that matters as long as I'm living comfortably. Why should I care about all your nonsense?"

Gu Yue trembled with rage. "You... don't forget, you and I were originally one! If not for me, how could you have been born?!"

Na'er made a face. "Did I beg you to split me off?"

Gu Yue's expression went blank.

Na'er leaned right into her face. "Did I beg you? Gu Yue, my old jailbird, did I beg you? Did I get down on my knees and beg you to split me off?"

Gu Yue was so furious that she laughed.

"Fine, fine, fine! Hahahaha! Hahahaha!"

Gu Yue suddenly burst out laughing. "In that case, there's nothing more for us to say! You traitor! Today, I'll personally put you, a treacherous rebel, to the blade!"

Gu Yue forcibly activated the sealed power within her. Her divine power soared, allowing her to break free of Na'er's pressure and stand in an instant.

And the price was,

blood trickled from the corner of Gu Yue's mouth as the backlash struck her.

Na'er snorted. "Gu Yue, my old jailbird, I think you really are drunk. Okay, I'll give you a chance. Let's take this outside. Beat me, and I'll go back with you. If you can't, go find somewhere cool and stay out of my way!"

In truth, Na'er's words amounted to nothing.

Gu Yue could no longer devour her.

And Na'er no longer needed the Silver Dragon King's power at all.

Na'er simply wanted to keep humiliating Gu Yue mercilessly, taking revenge on her for sending Di Tian and the others to hunt her down.

"Fine! Let's go!"

Gu Yue and Na'er left the room.

Once the two had gone out,

Li Zha opened his eyes and laughed.

"Hahahaha! Did I beg you to split me off? Hahaha!"

Of course, he had woken up long ago. He had simply wanted to see how these two Silver Dragon King idiots would hash things out.

After following Li Zha for three years, Na'er had indeed become a supreme champion, infuriating Gu Yue until her head spun.

"All right."

As usual, Li Zha kipped up and walked toward the room next door.

He pushed the door open. Tang Wulin was still sound asleep.

Li Zha flashed a sunny smile.
