After reaching Jade Skin, he faced a prefectural arrest order and a clash with Jiangyin’s factions, then prepared to travel to Jiangyin Prefecture with Lord Cangming.

• Ji Xiu used Bai Shuo’s dragon blood to advance the Leaping Dragon Gate technique, defeated Ye Ningzhi, and registered with the Heavenly Saber Sect.
• Ji Xiu discovered Ye Wenjiang’s inheritance in Earth Dragon Cave, took the Jade Marrow Cold Lotus, and gave it to Huang Xuan to cure his illness.
• Ji Xiu completed the Leaping Dragon Gate and formed the Dragonkin Treasure Bone, then learned and practiced Ye Longxiang’s Head.
• Demon lords and the Central Yellow Sect attacked Anning County, but Ji Xiu and his allies killed the demons, subdued the sect, and Ji Xiu devoured the Saint General’s divine thoughts to become a Qi Refiner.

Ji Xiu mourned Duan Chenzhou, claimed the Heavenly Saber Martial Hall, and faced the Jiangyin factions that opposed him. He earned Xiao Mingli’s support, entered the Northern Cang Marquis Residence, and began cultivating Divine Talisman Fire.

• Ji Xiu reached Jiangyin Prefecture, where he learned that Duan Chenzhou had died after challenging the city’s powerful factions, and set out to attend his funeral.
• At Duan Chenzhou’s funeral, Ji Xiu declared that he would bear his master’s debts and claim the Heavenly Saber Martial Hall, while Gu Baichuan defended him against Li Lin’s arrest order.
• Ji Xiu carried the hall’s plaque down Dao Hall Street under the gathered masters’ pressure, established his Dao Foundation, and defeated challengers from Du Yan’s and Purple Haze Halls.
• Xiao Mingli stopped Zhou Changming from attacking Ji Xiu, offered him access to the Marquis Residence’s Treasure Pavilion, and invited him to stay in exchange for spirit treasures and fish.
• At the Marquis Residence, Ji Xiu refined Xiao Mingli’s Nirvana Flower and completed the Cloud Net Scroll, then received the key to the Scripture Depository.
• Jiang Li discovered a Black Market bounty on Ji Xiu, while Li Changsu planned to test him with lower-ranked bounty hunters and Duan Chenzhou vowed to attack the hunters himself.
• Ji Xiu entered the Scripture Depository, found the incomplete Dao Method Divine Talisman Fire, and used his Primordial Dao Talisman to ignite Golden Core fire.

Ji Xiu reunited with Duan Chenzhou, strengthened his cultivation, and entered Jiangyin Prefecture Academy, where he won the Ascend Martial Tower’s highest evaluation and became eligible for the Prefect Official Grand Examination. As Ji Xiu reached Golden Turtle Island, Wei Changkong moved against the Heavenly Saber Sect, Wang Xuanyang reappeared, and Xu Longxiang confronted Wei.

• Ji Xiu reunited with his supposedly dead master Duan Chenzhou at Flying Immortal Temple, where Duan killed the assassins pursuing him and Ji Xiu revealed his advanced cultivation.
• Ji Xiu caught spirit fish for Xiao Mingli, completed the Rainbow Skirt Scroll, and drew the attention of Xie Fuyun, who offered him instruction while he remained loyal to Duan Chenzhou.
• Ji Xiu earned entry to Jiangyin Prefecture Academy, where the Martial and Divine Steles judged him Top Grade and transferred their accumulated essence to him.
• After Gao Ye challenged Ji Xiu, Ye Luan protected him and Xu Longxiang offered to mentor him, teaching him the martial art’s true essence through a Blessed Land rebirth.
• Ji Xiu climbed the Ascend Martial Tower to its ninety-ninth step, withstood Xiao Pingnan’s imprint, and received a Martial Dao Seed and qualification for the Prefect Official Grand Examination.

• Wei Changkong attacked the Heavenly Saber Sect on Golden Turtle Island, where Chen He fought him until Ji Xiu arrived with the old man, whom Wei and Chen recognized as Wang Xuanyang.
• Wei Changkong judged Wang Xuanyang crippled, suppressed Chen He, and demanded Ji Xiu surrender the Heavenly Saber inheritance, but Xu Longxiang arrived and challenged Wei.

Ji Xiu became Xu Longxiang’s chosen Dao Child, advanced his cultivation through the Yellow Millet Dream, and helped defend Anning County from invading gods. The arc ended with the Dragon Elephant True Sect challenging the Jiangyin authorities over Xu Longxiang’s fate and the Boundary Gate.

• Xu Longxiang arrived at Golden Turtle Island, named Ji Xiu his favored student, and warned the Three Vein Venerables not to plot against him.
• Xu Longxiang intervened in Wang Xuanyang’s tribulation, and Wang Xuanyang knocked him unconscious after overcoming part of it.
• Ji Xiu accepted Xu Longxiang’s offer to become the Dragon Elephant Dao Child and received the Yellow Millet Dream Jade Talisman and True Martial World Suppression Demon Subduing Profound Art.
