Lin Chen blurted out Trunks's name without noticing that Vegeta was standing nearby.
Hearing his words, Vegeta froze. "Your Majesty, isn't Trunks my son's name? Could it be..."
Since he had already exposed Trunks's identity, Lin Chen stopped hiding it. After all, the Trunks of this world had already been born.
"Vegeta, that Trunks from the future is your and Bulma's son."
"M-my son?" Vegeta exclaimed in shock.
Goku looked amused. "Vegeta, so you and Bulma got together in another world, too? You two really are something!"
"Shut up!" Vegeta snapped, his face burning red.
While the two of them exchanged words, Lin Chen recalled what had happened when Trunks left.
Before Trunks returned to his own world, Lin Chen had asked him how long he would need before he could come back.
Trunks had told him that once he had settled his mother, Bulma, somewhere safe and waited for the Time Machine to recharge, he would return immediately.
In this Trunks's world, Earth was far from Planet Vegeta and had yet to come under attack. Its research facilities were fully intact, so recharging the Time Machine would not take the three long years it had taken Trunks in the original story.
Yet, unexpectedly, an entire year had passed since Trunks left without Lin Chen hearing anything from him. Lin Chen had even begun to suspect that the boy from another world had been killed.
But he had survived-and returned from that other world!
"Tights, where is he?" Lin Chen asked, puzzled.
Since Trunks had returned, why hadn't Tights brought him straight over?
Tights frowned. "Come back to Earth with me and you'll see. Trunks was badly injured when he arrived. He's already been taken to the hospital."
"Badly injured?"
Hearing this, Lin Chen turned to Bardock and the others
