The savage energy appeared in space as quickly as it vanished.
Soon, everything fell quiet again.
Lin Chen gazed ahead coldly. A thousand meters in front of him, a mangled remnant of flesh and blood floated in space.
It was Frieza, the once-arrogant emperor of the universe.
But less than a quarter of his original body remained.
Frieza's lower body was completely gone, as were both his hands. The mechanically repaired portion of his head had also vanished entirely.
Yet even now, Frieza still showed signs of life!
Despite taking a direct hit from the Instant Transmission Kamehameha Lin Chen had unleashed in his Super Saiyan form, Frieza was still alive. His tenacity was truly terrifying.
Lin Chen now understood somewhat why Cell could regenerate even after losing his entire upper body, while Piccolo had been killed outright by a single Ki Blast from Nappa, despite both possessing Namekian cellular regeneration.
The difference lay in the extraordinary vitality of Frieza's race, the Frieza Race.
Lin Chen floated over to Frieza, looked at him, and raised his right hand, ready to deliver the final blow.
Seemingly aware that there was no escaping his fate this time, Frieza actually wore a pleading expression.
"P-please, save me... forgive me!"
"Save you? I'm not Son Goku. I don't share his softhearted mercy!" Lin Chen sneered.
Though Frieza had no idea who this Son Goku was, he understood that Lin Chen apparently had no intention of sparing him.
His fear gradually turned to despair, then gave way to rage.
"Saiyan! This time... you win... but at least... I've taken plenty of Saiyans down with me... and that female Saiyan, she was your mate, wasn't she... hahaha... once I'm in hell, I'll teach them all a proper lesson!"
"Idiot. They won't be going to hell with you!" Lin Chen said coldly.
"What?" Frieza froze.
"Once you're dead, I'll find the Dragon Balls and bring Hanasia and the others back to life! I can even restore Tiviy Star!"
"D-Dragon Balls?"
"So go to hell alone!"
Lin Chen pointed a finger, and a golden energy beam, otherwise identical to Frieza's Death Beam, shot out and severed what remained of Frieza's right arm.
"Death Beam? W-why do you know my move?"
"It's a cheap little trick. Seeing it once was enough to learn it. Frieza, I'll let you die by your own technique!"
With that, Lin Chen fired five more Death Beams, each vaporizing another portion of Frieza's remaining body.
As the final Death Beam shot toward Frieza's head, he let out a wretched scream: "I don't want to die!"
And just like that, the vicious emperor of the universe from the Dragon Ball world died for good.
This time, Frieza's body had been completely shattered and vaporized. No technology, however advanced, could revive him now.
Having dealt with Frieza, Lin Chen turned toward the nearby Frieza Force spaceship and slowly spread his fingers toward it.
Frieza's subordinates aboard the ship immediately cried out in alarm.
"Run! Hurry, run!"
Come on, King Frieza was the one who provoked you! You're so powerful-why attack small fry like us?
The aliens were in tears.
But just as the enormous spaceship began to move, a Ki Blast tore across space and surged toward it with overwhelming power.
The spaceship exploded and shattered within the Ki Blast, and every alien aboard melted in the intense heat.

Lin Chen suddenly frowned.
Just before Frieza's spaceship exploded, he thought he had seen a small spherical craft escape.
Should I chase it?
After a moment's thought, Lin Chen decided to ignore it.
A mere lackey from the Frieza Force wasn't worth the effort. Bringing Hanasia and the others back to life as soon as possible was far more important.
With that in mind, Lin Chen used Instant Transmission and left that region of space.
What Lin Chen didn't know was that the passenger aboard the little ship that had escaped early was no insignificant lackey, but Captain Ginyu!
This elite ace under Frieza had reacted faster than everyone else when he saw Lin Chen brutally killing Frieza. He had immediately fled aboard one of the spherical craft provided for the ship's combat personnel, narrowly escaping disaster.
Now, watching his former mothership disappear within the blast, Ginyu gasped for breath, his face filled with the relief of a narrow escape.
"Thank goodness... thank goodness I escaped quickly!"
"Saiyans... I never imagined Saiyans could possess such terrifying power..."
"But just you wait, Saiyan! I'll bring King Frieza back to life! The Frieza Force will rise again!" Captain Ginyu shouted.
Thanks to the ship's high-tech equipment, when Lin Chen told Frieza about the Dragon Balls, everyone aboard-including Ginyu-had heard about them too.
The others aboard had shown little reaction, but Ginyu had recalled a legend he had once come across.
According to that legend, there was a mysterious race in the universe known as the Namekians, who possessed the miraculous ability to create Wish-Granting Orbs.
Supposedly, gathering all seven Wish-Granting Orbs would allow any wish to be fulfilled.
The Dragon Balls that Saiyan mentioned must be the Wish-Granting Orbs!
So the legend was true. Something like that really existed!
"Just you wait! I, Ginyu, will get the Dragon Balls and revive King Frieza and the Ginyu Force! Then we'll have our revenge on you!"
Captain Ginyu shouted inside his spaceship.
Meanwhile, in space tens of thousands of kilometers from where Tiviy Star had once been, a round spaceship of the same model as Frieza's mothership began accelerating, heading away from Tiviy Star.
"Lord Cooler, King Frieza's vital signs have disappeared!"
As an alien delivered the report, gasps rang out throughout the ship.
"What? King Frieza is dead?"
"Is a Super Saiyan really that powerful?"
Just then, an egg-shaped hover pod floated over to the crowd.
A voice somewhat similar to Frieza's came from inside it.
"Quiet! Frieza was always so naive!"
"He already suffered at the hands of the Saiyans once, yet he still failed to learn his lesson. He brought all of this upon himself!"
At the sight of the person in the egg-shaped hover pod, every alien present dropped to their knees.
For the one seated inside was their master, Cooler-the elder brother of Frieza, emperor of the universe.
