"Are you out of your mind, big brother?!"
"Can't you be reliable for once?"
Sasuke's face flushed red with anger. He felt like he had been made a fool of again.
"I've been reliable since I was a kid."
Uchiha Satoru shrugged, inwardly sighing.
Was I really that unreliable?
I was still young, and I spent all day worrying about the clan's mess. I'd already burned through several batches of brain cells.
Wasn't a little mischief now and then only human?
The roleplay system should take the blame.
It was all its idea.
Over the past five years, he had tried every trick in the book to scrape together those roleplay points.
The people he had tormented could have lined up along two whole streets.
Ah, who could I vent to? Who would even understand?
He shook his head and pulled up the system panel.
[ Host: Gojo Satoru. |World: Naruto. |Unlocked template: Jujutsu Kaisen's strongest fighter · Satoru Gojo. |Template progress: 31%. |Acquired skills: six eyes (complete version), Blue (incomplete version), Red (incomplete version). |Roleplay points: 1000.
His roleplay progress had gone up a little, and another skill had popped up.
Red, one of Satoru Gojo's go-to moves.
It was produced by feeding the positive energy generated through Reverse Cursed Technique into Limitless.
At its core, it was a repulsive force that pushed outward from Red's position.
Even its minimum output was twice Blue's, and its upper limit could reach positive infinity. It could pretty much serve as a miniature Supernova.
It required no hand seals to activate, could be fired several times in succession, and could even be used in variations similar to Blue's.
With Red, his attacks packed a much harder punch.
But over the years, he had sunk plenty of roleplay points into that bottomless pit of a System Shop.
Otherwise, his template progress could have advanced a bit further.
SSS scrolls were outrageously expensive, but he had no choice but to buy them.
All he could do was grit his teeth and cough up the points he had saved for little cakes.
Uchiha Satoru closed the panel and turned back toward Sasuke.
"Anyway, where was I?" His expression looked so innocent it almost seemed genuine.
He had gotten so absorbed in browsing the system that he really couldn't remember this time.
"Where were you?"
"Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique."
Sasuke couldn't be bothered to argue with him. His hands flashed through a series of seals, and a fireball blasted straight toward him.
"Huh? Hey, hey!"
"Why'd you blow up out of nowhere?"
"Who upset you?"
"Why are you attacking your big brother?"
"I'm innocent!"
Uchiha Satoru dodged the fireballs without any hurry, his mouth still running.
He glanced up and saw that each fireball Sasuke hurled at him was fiercer than the last.
"Oh, your Fire Release is pretty smooth today. All that time I spent teaching you the other day wasn't wasted."
"You're so annoying!" Sasuke shouted through gritted teeth.
Apparently fueled by his anger, his Fire Release was especially fluid this time.
"All right, settle down."
"I'll teach you shuriken properly."
Uchiha Satoru came to a stop on the scorched ground, his tone growing calm.
"First, remember to lock your shoulder in place. Throughout the throw, only your arm should move."
"Keep the rest of your body still. No swaying."
"When you swing your arm back, keep your elbow more or less stationary. Then, as you swing forward and the shuriken reaches a certain speed, let your elbow rise with the momentum."
For once, Uchiha Satoru wasn't grinning or joking. He instructed Sasuke carefully, word by word.
He corrected Sasuke's stance, then spoke again.
"You're still young. Your body hasn't fully developed yet."
"You can't handle it if you just copy the methods adults use."
"That's the root of why you keep having trouble throwing shuriken."
"But you can use your wrist to make up the speed."
Uchiha Satoru studied him for a moment and quickly pinpointed the flaws in his movements.
"Okay," Sasuke replied, eyeing the surrounding targets as he began to try it.
Whoosh!
Whoosh!
The sound of shuriken slicing through the air rang out several times in succession.
Sasuke raised his head. Every shuriken had struck a bull's-eye, without the slightest deviation.
"It worked?"
He wiped his face with his sleeve, rubbing away the smudges he had accidentally gotten on it earlier.
It worked that easily?
Sasuke stared wide-eyed at the languid boy standing a short distance away.
He had practiced this move on his own for who knew how long, yet had never managed to get the hang of it.
His big brother had untangled the whole problem with just a few words.
My big brother, he...
"Well? Satoru didn't lie to you, did he?"
Uchiha Satoru tugged at his blindfold and spoke casually.
The six eyes could see details as fine as a strand of hair.
He could tell at a glance how each person could best exert their strength.
That was why he always called himself the best teacher.
