The two of them had barely stepped through the front door before Uchiha Itachi took another mission and headed straight back out.

At the doorway, Sasuke watched his big brother disappear before he had even had a chance to settle in, and his little face fell.

"Seriously, he promised to teach me Fire Release, and now he's ditched me again."

Sasuke tried to sound tough, but he couldn't hide how hurt he was.

Watching Sasuke get so upset over his brother breaking a promise, Gojo Satoru thought of the twisted, vengeance-filled boy he would later become and muttered inwardly, Time really is a bastard.

Itachi really is a piece of work.

Still, in this world, whoever hit hardest called the shots. He couldn't afford to neglect his strength for even a day.

He also had to keep working on his portrayal progress. Advancing on both fronts was the safest bet.

Gojo Satoru pulled himself out of his thoughts and clicked his tongue at Sasuke, who was still standing there in a daze.

"Hey?"

"Your second big brother's been standing here forever. Can't you see me?"

He crunched noisily on the lollipop in his mouth, one cheek bulging as he voiced his displeasure through it.

"The last time you said you'd teach me Chakra control, you sent me flying into the river with a kick."

Bringing up that old grievance made Sasuke's little face flush red.

"Huh? Did I? Wasn't that just to help you learn faster?"

Gojo Satoru rattled off the excuse without a second thought, not breathing a word about his little scheme to earn portrayal points.

"And then I got a fever the next day and was sick for a whole day."

Sasuke ground his teeth.

"You're a ninja, and you still get sick? Your immune system's pretty lousy. You got me chased through three streets by someone with a knife."

Gojo Satoru still felt a lingering shiver at the memory.

Women are downright terrifying when they're angry!

"How about remembering that I'm only three? And that I was soaking in the river for ages?"

Sasuke shot back, his face cold.

Sometimes he really wanted to crack open his second brother's skull and see what on earth was stuffed inside.

"See? That's my way of telling you how important learning is."

Gojo Satoru kept spouting nonsense, casually waving his lollipop around and looking as unreliable as could be.

"Oh, right. Haven't you always wanted to learn Fire Release? Family discount today-I'll teach you for free."

Sasuke paused at that. His second brother might trick him all the time, but his skills were the real deal.

"You said it yourself."

The light returned to Sasuke's eyes.

Gojo Satoru led him to the riverbank and declared casually, "All right, class starts now."

Before his words had even faded, an enormous blaze roared across the lake's surface. The flames surged and raged, lingering for a long time.

The Six Eyes could see the flow of Cursed Techniques and Chakra clearly, making every kind of ninjutsu flow effortlessly in his hands.

As long as his Chakra held out, he could unleash ninjutsu however he pleased, with incredible accuracy to boot.

So powerful!

My second brother really is amazing!

The raging flames on the lake seemed to set Sasuke's eyes alight too, making them shine brilliantly.

"All right, lesson over."

"You've learned it now, right?"

Gojo Satoru clapped his hands and addressed Sasuke with a perfectly serious face.

Come on, can't you stop messing around?

You call that teaching?

You just do it once without explaining anything?

With Sasuke's eyesight at that age, he had only managed to remember a few of the hand seals.

His second brother hadn't said a single word about how to move Chakra through his body.

"Can't my students be a little smarter and learn things on their own?"

"Why do I, their teacher, have to explain everything over and over?"

"Could you possibly find a better teacher than me in this world?"

Gojo Satoru sighed, then continued, "Prick up your ears and listen carefully."

"You have to gather your Chakra, draw it through your mouth into your chest, hold it there without letting it move, then spit it all out in one go."

"That's it. Easy to understand, right?"

Gojo Satoru was still busy admiring his own teaching.

Looking at his smug face, Sasuke felt a vein twitch at his temple, though the explanation really was easy to understand.

Who would've thought? When he actually takes teaching seriously, he's pretty good at explaining things.

Following the movements Gojo Satoru had just shown him, Sasuke managed to squeeze out a Fire Release.

A pitifully tiny flame drifted out past his lips.

"Wow, that little spark is pretty cute."

Gojo Satoru sounded as though he were reading from a textbook, without a shred of sincerity.

"Damn it, you-"

All his earlier disappointment vanished into thin air. Now he was seething with anger.

"Did you get blisters in your mouth?"

Gojo Satoru's sharp ears immediately caught something off about Sasuke's voice.

"Wait, didn't I tell you to coat the inside of your mouth with a protective layer of Chakra first? Otherwise, you'll burn yourself."

Gojo Satoru stopped walking and actually looked as though he were trying to remember.

"You knew all along that would keep me from getting burned?"

"You bastard, you never mentioned it once!!"

Sasuke's little face darkened with rage as he forced those words out through clenched teeth.

He tricked me again!!!

[Ding! Portrayal points +100!]

As Sasuke chased after him, that all-too-familiar system notification rang in Gojo Satoru's ears.

"Open the system panel!"

He calmly brought up the panel as he ran.

[ Host: Gojo Satoru. World: Naruto. Unlocked Jujutsu Kaisen power-ceiling template: Satoru Gojo. Unlock percentage: 11%. Skills: Six Eyes (complete), Blue (incomplete). Portrayal points: 1,300.

At present, he had only acquired two skills: Six Eyes and Blue.

What could the Six Eyes do?

[ Full three-hundred-and-sixty-degree vision. Nothing behind him could escape his notice, and he could see clearly no matter how far away it was. A single glance could identify whether someone was a ninja or another kind of ability user. An opponent's ninjutsu could not hide from his eyes. He could directly track the trajectories of power and predict them in advance. He had extremely precise control. His vision remained unaffected even when something blocked his view.

As for Blue:

[ Its center could generate an attractive force, with its maximum output approaching negative infinity, much like a miniature black hole. It required no hand seals to activate. He could unleash as many as he wanted, all with precise aim. Teleportation, high-speed movement, and long-distance bursts of movement were all possible.

However, because his portrayal progress wasn't high enough yet, the Blue he currently possessed was a watered-down version, subject to a cooldown and skill restrictions.

Gojo Satoru closed the system panel, the corners of his mouth lifting slightly.

Calculating the portrayal points he had saved up lately, he realized he had enough for another shopping spree in the System Shop.

I thought this premise was pretty interesting, so I started writing it. I've still got some chapters saved up.

If nobody reads it, those stockpiled chapters will go to waste...
