Not only the light-haired ninja whose disguise was stripped away in public was shaken by Gojo Satoru.
Kiyota Sato, fighting nearby, was also startled.
This kid's eyes were way too sharp.
How long had they been at it, and he had already figured out the whole background?
Before Kiyota Sato could process this, the opponent across from him noticed his mind wandering.
The blade edge pressed in, grazing past the stray hairs on his forehead.
Kiyota Sato snapped back to his senses. With a flash of cold light before his eyes, he hurriedly retreated two steps.
A few broken hairs drifted down to the ground along with the blade light.
That was close!
He forced his focus back onto the opponent in front of him, not daring to stop his movements anymore.
Yet his ears were still perked up, trailing the commotion over at Gojo Satoru's side.
You could not blame him for being nosy; the things being spilled over there were simply too startling to ignore.
A bright, conspicuous smile hung on Gojo Satoru's face as he looked innocently at the light-haired ninja.
Are you feeling unwell?
Why is your face so dark?
This time, it did not look like they had used medicine to turn their skin and hair white.
What was going on?
He had never heard of the Giant Rock Clan having such a method.
Gojo Satoru's innocent look made it seem as though he had no idea how irritating he was.
He was merely offering a kind reminder.
Purely out of good intentions.
Hoping they could make their disguises a bit more convincing.
So how could this possibly be his fault?
Gojo Satoru hooked the corner of his mouth triumphantly, determined to carry this spirit of helping others through to the end.
Without stopping his mouth, he kept right on talking.
"Pay attention, that Giant Rock ninja clearly relies on close-quarters hand-to-hand combat paired with ninjutsu sneak attacks."
"Every time he closes in, his fingers are tensed up, ready to form Hand Seals at any moment."
"So next, he's going to get right up close to the captain and then unleash a ninjutsu surprise attack."
"Being this close, the handiest move is-"
"Lightning Release: Lariat!"
Just as Gojo Satoru's words landed, a loud roar echoed from over there.
"Lightning Release: Lariat!"
Acting as a footnote to Gojo Satoru's words, the opposing ninja blasted out the Lightning Release the exact moment his voice stopped.
Captain Naoya Kuchiki gained an extra second of reaction time out of thin air.
With a flash of his body, the attack brushed past him.
The fierce Lightning Release slammed into the ground, plowing out a deep trench.
At this moment, everyone stopped fighting.
Their gazes all fell in unison upon Gojo Satoru, who had been making lively commentary just moments before.
A ninja's ears were exceptionally sharp.
Even the sound of fine wood chips couldn't escape them.
Let alone words spoken without lowering one's voice at all.
The atmosphere on the field fell eerily silent.
Stared at by so many pairs of eyes, Gojo Satoru slowly grew a look of confusion on his face.
He tilted the corner of his mouth and glanced around at the crowd.
"Hey!"
"Why are you all staring at me?"
"You're not fighting anymore?"
Whether it was the people from Konoha or the ones from the Giant Rock Clan, everyone pulled back from the close combat and collectively fell into silence.
Not fighting anymore?
Have you no self-awareness?
How is anyone supposed to keep fighting after this?
The Konoha side was relatively fine.
They were simply shaken by Gojo Satoru's unexpected display!
Amazed by his sharp eyes and judgment!
Sighing that he really was not an ordinary person!
Fine, whatever!
However, the Giant Rock Clan side had it miserable.
Not only were their moves seen through completely, but even their disguises had been ripped off in public.
Like wearing the emperor's new clothes, several people glared at Gojo Satoru with dark faces.
Silence, silence.
Silence was the Cambridge of tonight!
Gojo Satoru touched his blindfold and looked around.
Well, fighting was fighting.
Why was everyone suddenly acting so profound?
Seeing everyone's complicated gazes landing on him.
He tilted his head and thought about it, wearing a rare flash of hesitation as he pondered how to break the silence before him.
Then he clapped his hands together, bringing them flat against each other, and continued speaking.
"That's why I said, a ninja can dye their skin and hair, but the things in their bones cannot be changed."
"Body type and habits follow them wherever they go, and traits and differences like that are impossible to hide."
"Take a look, aren't I right?"
Hahaha...
Unfortunately, this final summary failed to disperse the silence, instead making it a layer thicker.
In the end, the few members of the Giant Rock Clan exchanged glances with one another, didn't even bother to look at Gojo Satoru again, and directly leaped away.
What was there to look at?
What if they couldn't hold it in later and punched that white-haired brat to death, starting a war with Konoha?
The members of the Giant Rock Clan muttered inwardly.
With an extra condition attached: for the next period of time, they refused to see anything white ever again.
