Jiangyang Commandery.
Daylight blazed, and Li Fire shone.
This commandery was the easternmost territory under Great Scarlet's rule. The Li River had once flowed through its center, but a later upheaval had turned it into an earth abyss stretching across the entire commandery. By day, mysterious radiance scattered and Yin-Yang qi stirred; by night, killing intent pierced the heavens and burning winds ran rampant.
Above the abyss, the Great Void had established a secret realm, one of the former fragments of Liyang Heaven. Now named [Vermilion Hall], it served to suppress the disturbances in the earth abyss.
Within the secret realm, apricot blossoms drifted.
Xu Ming stood amid this grove of apricot trees, two spiritual flowers swirling in his hand.
Both flowers were gold and white, each with six petals. One bore vermilion patterns, the other deep purple patterns, containing Li Fire and Shock Thunder respectively.
Two of the Six Expansions: [Ceremonial Mystic Radiance] and [Thunder Pivot Mystic Radiance]!
The present Six Expansions were "Shock Thunder," "Nurturing Earth," "Water Transformation," "Li Fire," "Victory Gold," and "Origin Wood." They had not remained unchanged since antiquity, however; several of their Dao Lineages had undergone transformations.
For example, "Nurturing Earth" had not originally belonged to the Six Expansions; "Ji Earth" had taken that place. Likewise, "Origin Wood" had not been among them at first; "Yi Wood" had been included instead.
He had heard this Dao discourse from the Immortal Official [Shao Hua] of the Wondrous Solemnity Palace. Few in the present age knew of it. To fully set the Six Expansions in motion required the Lesser Yang divine ability [Eastern Pole Illumination], known in ancient times as [First Yang Shepherd].
