Waves churned, and lava cooled and hardened. Blazing Heaven-Covering Mountain stood alone upon the sea. A streak of silver thunder suddenly flashed through the clouds, and a Daoist bearing a sword on his back drifted down before the mountain gate, followed by a woman in a purple dress.
Xu Xuan first caught sight of Tianxin. The boy sat blankly on an azure stone with a gourd on his back, gazing into the distance with a face full of melancholy. He seemed lost in thought and had not even noticed the visitors arriving.
"Tianxin."
He called softly, and thunder seemed to rumble in the sky. The boy immediately sprang up and rubbed his eyes. Seeing the visitors, he hurried over and bowed respectfully.
"Greetings, True Person. My master is nurturing a Spirit Pill in the hall. You may go straight inside."
With that, he turned to lead the way, his fiery-red civet tail swaying incessantly in a rather comical fashion. This Fire Lynx had already reached Foundation Establishment, yet his disposition remained that of a small child. Who knew why?
The three soon reached the Heaven-Covering Hall. Xu Xuan asked Zhang Yiwan to wait outside with Tianxin, then entered alone and saw Pingxiu busy beside the Pill Furnace.
"Please wait a moment, fellow Daoist."
Seeing Xu Xuan arrive, Pingxiu immediately activated his Divine Ability. True crimson treasure fire leaped, and the mysterious Eight Trigrams patterns on the Pill Furnace flickered. A peculiar medicinal fragrance rose from within.
A crimson treasure pill spun as it flew out. Its color resembled scarlet clouds, with golden light encircling it, and the faint outline of a crimson bear could be seen upon its surface.
Pingxiu carefully placed the treasure pill into a fire-jade box and handed it to Xu Xuan. As though
