Odin paid no attention to what the players downstairs were saying.
That was how this game worked. It was perfectly reasonable.
The two went downstairs for breakfast.
They found the streets considerably livelier than yesterday.
Through his Observation Haki, Odin sensed a crowd gathered outside the department store, their voices loud.
"I lost three designated cards! All A-rank!"
"I lost two, one A-rank and one B-rank."
"You lost yours too? I thought I was the only one."
"What's going on? Is there a bug in the game?"
"How could Greed Island have bugs?"
Odin raised an eyebrow. It seemed quite a few players who had lost cards were making their way to Masadora.
Right now, everyone's attention was on their Spell Books. They kept flipping through them, as though looking a few more times would make the cards return on their own.
Still, Odin knew he couldn't blame them. Cards they had painstakingly collected had vanished after a night's sleep. He would have been anxious too.
The crowd outside the department store kept growing.
Some whispered among themselves, some contacted others, and some checked on other players' situations.
A man in a gray jacket emerged from the crowd, his face livid, cursing as he walked.
"Damn it, someone's definitely behind this."
The person beside him caught up. "Could it be the Bomber?"
"The Bomber?" The man in gray stopped. "The Bomber robs people outright. Even if we get killed afterward, at least we know who did it.
"What's this supposed to be? They just vanished into thin air?"
"Then what do you think happened?"
"How should I know?"
After arguing for a while, the two went their separate ways.
Ponzu finished her breakfast, wiped her mouth, and looked at Odin. "Looks like a lot's happening over there. What's going on?"
