"Mr. Odin?" he said. "How did you-"

"Yeah," Odin said. "We have to go."

Battera's expression stiffened for a moment, but he quickly recovered.

He looked at Odin, then at the cloth bag in Ponzu's hands, a flicker of disappointment crossing his eyes.

"I remember we signed a contract..."

Before Battera could finish, Odin summoned his Spell Book. Under Battera's wide-eyed stare, he took out a card he had created and handed it over.

Battera took it, glanced at it, and his pupils contracted.

"This is-"

"The Breath of Archangel," Odin said. "An SS-Rank Card. It can cure any illness or injury."

Battera's hands began to tremble. He turned the card over, then back again, as though examining some priceless treasure.

"Is... is this real?"

"It is," Odin said. "I adjusted it. It'll activate on its own in five minutes, so keep track of the time."

Battera looked up at him, his eyes a little red.

"How much?" His voice was slightly hoarse.

Odin considered it. "Thirty billion."

Battera didn't haggle.

He pulled a checkbook from his pocket, his hands still trembling. As he wrote the amount, the tip of his pen nearly punched a hole in the paper.

He tore out the check and handed it over.

Odin took the check, glanced at it, turned it into a card, and stored it in his Spell Book.

Clutching the card, Battera turned and ran into the Old Castle.

He ran fast, his leather shoes striking the stone paving in a rapid clatter.

Ponzu stood beside Odin, watching Battera's retreating figure.

"Will his wife really recover?"

"Yes," Odin said. "The Breath of Archangel can cure any illness or injury."

He turned and headed out of the Old Castle.
