Piyon walked over to examine the marks. "These aren't symbols. They should be some kind of writing."
Netero went over to look as well, unable to hide the surprise in his eyes. "Ho ho ho, someone has been here."
Clearly, Netero hadn't seen anything like this when he had reached this spot on his previous visit. These marks must have been left within the last few decades.
Knov took out a camera and snapped a few photos. "Are there people living here?"
Odin had noticed the writing long ago, but he couldn't read it.
As for people living nearby, however, Odin already knew about that.
Through his Observation Haki, he had even seen a city tens of thousands of kilometers away-or rather, it couldn't really be called a city, only a settlement.
Quite a few people lived there, including all sorts of humanoid races.
The ordinary humans looked more like people from the West in his previous life, while the various Orcs looked much as Odin had imagined them.
Odin had been keeping an eye on the place for some time, hoping to learn more.
He hadn't told anyone about it. There was no need to rush.
Knov took a few more photos.
Ging stood up and glanced around. "It's getting late. Let's camp here. This looks like a good spot."
Odin looked at everyone's condition, knowing they weren't like him, then surveyed their surroundings and nodded.
Just as Ging had said, this was an open area that made it easy to keep watch over their surroundings.
It was also fairly close to the river, making it convenient to fetch water.
They immediately decided to spend the night here.
At Odin's instruction, Kite and the others began clearing the tall grass from the open area, exposing the brown earth beneath.
