Ponzu looked down. The buildings of Andoni Valley rapidly shrank beneath her until they were the size of matchboxes. Streets became thin lines, and people became tiny dots.
Wind whistled past her ears. They were moving far faster than they had on the dragonfly.
"This is-" Ponzu stared at Odin in surprise.
"Projection," Odin said. "I developed it based on the effect of Replay in the game. It lets me project us to a location I specify."
The two flew a hundred meters above the ground.
From up there, they could see the edges of Greed Island, though not clearly.
Rolling grasslands stretched below, the grass gleaming pale green in the sunlight. Beyond them lay a forest, its canopy forming a dark green sea. Farther away, they could make out the outline of a mountain range. Bare rock, without a trace of vegetation-nothing but yellowish-brown rocky mountains.
"What's that?" Ponzu pointed deep into the forest.
Odin looked in the direction she indicated.
Three people were moving through a clearing deep in the forest: a spiky-haired boy, a white-haired boy, and a blonde girl in a Lolita dress.
"It's Killua and the others." Ponzu narrowed her eyes. "Who's that girl?"
"She's technically our master's fellow disciple," Odin said.
"Our master's fellow disciple?" Ponzu froze. "What do you mean?"
"I'll explain when we get back," Odin said. "Let's keep moving for now."
He adjusted their course, and the aura enveloping them carried them toward the rocky mountains.
After flying for about three minutes, they landed on a flat stretch of rock.
The sun had baked the surface hot. They could feel the heat rising through the soles of their feet.
Yellowish-brown rocky mountains surrounded them, one after another, stretching to the horizon. No trees, no grass, nothing.
They had barely steadied themselves
