"Ya... hiko?" Jiraiya stared at the man who looked both unfamiliar and familiar.
"Master Jiraiya, it's been a long time." Deva Path Pain looked at Jiraiya and spoke coldly.
"Yahiko, what happened to you? What did you all go through back then?" Looking at what Yahiko had become, Jiraiya remembered the carefree boy he had once been.
"Master Jiraiya, Yahiko is dead. I am God."
Deva Path Pain delivered his grandiose declaration, unwilling to explain much more to Jiraiya.
If you haven't suffered what someone else has, don't tell them to be kind.
Jiraiya knew they wouldn't listen to anything he said, either. Then he would fight.
Naraka Path seized an opening and had the King of Hell swallow the three Pains Jiraiya had already defeated, chewing them for a while.
What happened next shattered Jiraiya's understanding of the world. The three men he had defeated walked out of the King of Hell's mouth completely unharmed.
Jiraiya could hardly believe his eyes. Had all that fighting just been for nothing?
Now all six Pains had assembled, standing before Jiraiya.
"How can six people have the Rinnegan at the same time?"
Even the two well-traveled Toad Sages were astonished. The sage's eyes were the stuff of legend, yet they had actually seen the Rinnegan in their lifetimes-and six pairs at that.
"Little Jiraiya, things aren't looking good for us," Fukasaku said, looking at the Pains surrounding them.
Jiraiya looked at Pain and asked.
"Yahiko-or should I say Nagato-who exactly are you? And who is Pain?"
"The six of us are Pain. Pain is God, the God who will bring hope to this world."
As soon as Pain finished speaking, all six rushed Jiraiya at once. Deva Path summoned a Black Rods, intending to finish Jiraiya off immediately.
But Jiraiya was one
