"One more look, one more glance, and I'll explode. A little closer, come closer, and I'll melt... chicken, you're so beautiful~" Meihui hummed a little tune as he walked home.
Meanwhile, Jiraiya, who had been wearing an utterly lecherous expression just moments earlier, suddenly turned serious. His control over his expression was impeccable.
"Tsunade, I think the Akatsuki will definitely come this time. Be ready. If things get too bad, I'll take Naruto to Mount Myōboku to hide, then come back to help you."
Jiraiya offered Tsunade that suggestion, but she rejected it.
"What, Jiraiya? Are you saying that our great Konoha can't even protect one of its own villagers? We'd be a laughingstock if word got out."
Tsunade was adamant. If the Akatsuki dared to come, she would make sure they never left alive.
Seeing her like this, Jiraiya could hardly say anything more. All he could do was support her. Next, it was time to put Naruto through some training.
Otherwise, if a fight really broke out, he might not have a chance to protect Naruto.
Meihui arrived home and began laying the groundwork for what was about to happen.
"Nagato will definitely attack Konoha. If he dares to come, I'll skin him alive."
He sent a clone to tell Sasuke and the others to provide backup when the time came.
With that, Meihui's preparations were basically complete. All that remained was to wait for Nagato to walk into his own demise.
"Should I gouge out that Rinnegan and play around with it?"
That was right. The fighting had not even begun, and Meihui already had his sights set on the Rinnegan.
Shaking his head, Meihui abandoned that train of thought. He had once felt the urge to gouge out Sasuke's eyes and play around with them, too.
