Nagato unleashed Planetary Devastation in his fury. As the black sphere rose into the air, its tremendous pull tore up the surrounding terrain and uprooted several trees. Naruto, Sasuke, and Meihui hurriedly pulled back.
Watching from a distance, Tsunade and Jiraiya grew worried for the three of them when they saw Super Deva Path unleash a jutsu of that magnitude.
"I wonder how those kids are doing. A jutsu on this scale is seriously ridiculous."
Jiraiya muttered to himself at her side.
Annoyed, Tsunade reached out and grabbed Jiraiya by the ear.
"Easy for you to say! Hurry up and check on those three."
Since Meihui had warned everyone in advance that Pain was coming to attack Konoha, Tsunade had already evacuated the civilians. Almost everyone still there was a ninja.
"To think even Sasuke Uchiha came back. Tsk, tsk. These kids are getting harder and harder to figure out."
While Tsunade was still marveling, Jiraiya scrambled over to the three of them.
"You three okay?"
"We're fine. Uncle Jiraiya, what are you doing here?"
Meihui was puzzled. Hadn't he already told them not to send support unless it was an emergency?
"I was worried about you, that's all. Hahaha."
"All right, Uncle Jiraiya, fall back. Don't get in our way."
With that, Meihui left to search for Super Deva Path.
Sasuke followed without a word, leaving only Naruto behind.
"Sorry, Pervy Sage, but you should head back. I think Granny Tsunade needs you more."
Then Naruto left too, leaving Jiraiya standing there alone.
"Hey, you guys... Sigh. I really am getting old. The new generation pushes out the old and leaves us washed up on the beach. Those little brats didn't spare me any dignity."
Jiraiya had arrived in a frantic rush and left dejected, sighing all the way.
