Just then, Meihui arrived. One look at the dead Shinnō and the slowly disappearing Zero-Tails told him that Naruto had completed every task he had been given.

"Well, Nii-san? I finished everything you asked me to do."

"Mm, good, good. That's my little brother. You make me proud."

Something about Meihui's words felt strange to Naruto, but he couldn't quite put his finger on it.

"Let's go, little bro. There's actually something in Konoha you need to deal with. Uh... you'll see when we get there."

"Oh, right, Nii-san. How's your investigation into Kara going?"

"It's still ongoing. That organization is far too secretive. We have no idea where they're hiding, but one thing's certain: they're up to no good."

Hearing that left Naruto rather frustrated. If he had known they were up to no good, he would have wiped them out right then and there.

Meihui seemed to notice something was off and hurried to reassure him. "All right, little bro. The Shinobi World is only so big. They can't get away."

After bringing Naruto back to Konoha, Meihui took him into the Hokage's Office, where Naruto spotted a familiar face.
