Hiding in Kirigakure, Urashiki felt as though his eyelid had been twitching nonstop lately. It was driving him mad. He was a lofty member of the Ōtsutsuki Clan, yet something so trivial still managed to frighten him.
He made up his mind. He would go to Konoha, seize the Nine-Tails chakra, then flee across the Shinobi World until he found this timeline's Treasure Tool Karasuki and traveled back again. As for Meihui and the others who had come with him, they could stay right here in this timeline.
What Urashiki probably did not know was that this impulsive decision would, by sheer coincidence, save his life.
Almost as soon as Urashiki left, Meihui and Sasuke arrived at his door. Unfortunately, they had missed him yet again.
Meihui was absolutely furious. He went wild, wrecking everything around him. What he might not have noticed was that, at some point, his temper had become particularly explosive.
"Bastard! Where the hell did you go? You'd better hope I never find you!"
As Meihui spoke, Sasuke noticed that he seemed to have fallen into a state of utter frenzy. After smashing everything in sight, he simply stood there in a daze.
"Hey, Meihui, are you all right?" Seeing that something was wrong, Sasuke came over and patted his shoulder, but Meihui seemed not to feel it. He gave no response at all.
That gave Sasuke a real scare. Looking closer, he saw that Meihui's eyes had turned scarlet and were fixed on something in the distance. He had no idea what Meihui was looking at.
"Hey, hey! What's wrong with you? Say something!"
Sasuke waved a hand in front of Meihui's eyes, but still received no response. He was terrified now. What on earth had happened?
